"Ah! No problem, Xiao Jiu, thanks for the trouble!"
Chen Fei took Xiao Jiu from his own shoulder and placed it on the hospital bed.
Comforting the frail little girl was just a small effort.
"Jiu!"
The light body of the Pure Light Sparrow landed on the bedding, not even disturbing a single crease on the surface.
"Xiao Jiu! I'm Pu Meihui, hello!"
The little girl gratefully glanced at Chen Fei, and with a mix of surprise and delight, reached out to the little bird.
"Jiu!"
The little bird hopped forward a few steps, fluttered its wings, and landed in the tender palm of the girl's hand.
The little claws tickled her palm, making Pu Meihui burst into a merry giggle, probably the happiest in a while.
"Old Piao, let's step outside to talk!"
Chen Fei gestured towards the door, obviously having something to discuss.
"Oh, okay!"
Pu Aihua glanced at his daughter, nodded, and followed Chen Fei outside.
