September 1st.
Today was the first day of the new semester. Parents delivering their children to school were coming and going continuously, and the entrance was filled with cars dropping off and picking up.
The primary school students arriving at the school gate all had different expressions, presenting a vivid tableau of the many facets of life:
Some were hopping and jumping excitedly, clearly unable to wait to meet a little friend they hadn't seen during the summer vacation;
Some had furrowed brows and gloomy faces, looking like they might not have finished their summer homework.
Of course, the diversity of the primary students was also quite complex.
There were also students with calm expressions, their eyes betraying no hint of joy or anger.
This calm-eyed student passed the school gate slowly with his backpack on.
