"Two guests, please come in, come in!"
A little girl with two pigtail braids greeted them cheerfully, ushering Li Xu and Guan Tingting into the thatched-roof tea house with straw mats for a ceiling.
The other eight time-traveling visitors stopped for a moment. Four followed Li Xu, guided by the little girl inside, while the rest scattered into the woods on the right side of the road, soon vanishing from sight.
"Here's your tea, dear guests. Please enjoy," an elderly woman with a head full of white hair said, trembling as she placed two crude tea cups in front of Li Xu and Guan Tingting. With a kindly smile that spread across her gap-toothed mouth, she added.
"Old lady, I would like to ask, how do we get to Black Wind Stockade?"
As soon as Li Xu asked his question, it seemed as if even the air had stopped moving. The old woman was so frightened that her hands shook uncontrollably, and she waved them dismissively, "I do not know, I do not know. You should ask someone else."
