Autumn in Jinling was fairly dry, a bit of sunshine meant good weather.
The afternoon was time for the garden and tree class.
It involved the teacher leading the students around the campus randomly, gathering at the entrance of the teaching building before class started.

He just left the convertible by the side of the road.

Zhou Yuwen said he had been drinking yesterday and let someone else drive the car.

The teacher was upfront calling the roll.

Once the teacher led the students away, they each started to chat among themselves.
Zhou Yuwen didn't interact much with classmates, but he was well-liked, some would initiate a conversation with him, but it was usually just a few words.
Soon Zhou Yuwen was left alone there.
