The black horse, having taken two punches from Yang Ge, winced in pain and crazily carried Yang Ge back and forth along the lake embankment, braving the wind and the rain. Sometimes it would rear up, trying to throw Yang Ge off its back, while its hooves, as large as sea bowls, landed in the mud, producing a muffled sound akin to a huge leather drum.
Yang Ge's long legs were clamped tightly around the horse's belly, riding it as if he had taken root on its back, letting it buck and run wild. Only when it had run a bit too far would he cunningly twist the horse's head around.
The crowd in front of the lakeside cabin watched the struggle between man and horse, unable to turn away...
After a full hour of this tussle, the black horse finally slowed down, breathing heavily, but from the stubbornness in its loud snorts and the spit flying in all directions, one could tell that it was just tired, not subdued.
