"Where am I...?"
It seemed as if there were flickering flames before her eyes. The scorching temperature was baking her body, and a severe pain shot through the wound on her back.
Lin You struggled to prop herself up, but was immediately overwhelmed by the sharp pain in her back. She had never experienced such agony in her life, like relentless tides battering her nerves without cessation.
"Don't move." A familiar voice softly said nearby.
Lin You turned her head with difficulty, using the light from the fire to make out the person beside her.
His face was covered with a weathered beard, and his features were sordid, but now he appeared unusually serious.
"Uncle Xilan," Lin You's lips lacked color, utterly devoid of any trace of blood.
"Don't talk just yet, you are gravely injured. You were unconscious earlier, and so was Feil. I'm treating your wounds," said Xilan, his serious face retaining a hint of charm under the firelight.
