Wukong then asked, "So that's how it is? Could it be that you, Buddha Ancestor, know this fellow? In the past, there were a few troublesome mounts of Bodhisattvas that nearly met their end at my hand, could it be that this Rhinoceros King is also the mount of a Bodhisattva?"
The Tathagata didn't want to admit that this was Laojun's mount because if Wukong just went to Doulu Palace like that, it would be bound to end in failure; Laojun would surely avoid him and not show himself.
"This bracelet is so formidable that even if I went myself, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to handle it! I'll have the Eighteen Arhats go with you to take a look; if they can beat him, then beat him, if not, we'll have to find another way," said the Tathagata.
