The Jade Emperor appointed Li Jing as the Great Marshal of Exorcism, and with Nezha, the Third Prince, leading twenty-two of the Twenty-Eight Constellations as the vanguard, and a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, they set out for Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Li Changgeng, having been compromised by Wukong, was in a state of panic. He hurriedly and discreetly pinched a jade talisman and cast a spell, whereupon the talisman took to the sky, shone brightly for a moment, and then disappeared, traveling directly to Flower-Fruit Mountain. Wukong saw a beam of light flying towards him. He swiftly reached out and caught it, revealing a jade talisman that contained a message from Li Changgeng.
