Wukong was leisurely wandering in The Heavenly Court when he chanced upon the Xuan Du Daoist, who was discussing the Dao with Jade Void Daoist and Green Wander Daoist. Wukong gained some insights from their discussion and, without realizing it, fell deep into contemplation.
Wukong practiced the Unified Method of the Three Religions, integrating the teachings of Daoism, Buddhism, and the balance of Yin and Yang, along with the peace and righteousness of Confucianism. Such a method was unparalleled in the world, and now that he had heard the three Daoists expound on the Primordial Great Dao, he finally achieved some understanding.
