Li Changgeng, holding the Jade Emperor's decree, left through the Southern Sky Gate and went to Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Descending from his cloud, he arrived in front of the Water Curtain Cave, where he was stopped by little demons, each of whom recognized Li Changgeng. They showed their teeth and grimaced, as if they wanted to devour him. Inwardly, Li Changgeng lamented his misfortune, yet his expression remained unchanged.
"Let the manager come over, and tell your Great King that I bring the sacred edict of the Jade Emperor," Li Changgeng said.
Expecting these Demon Kings to kneel in wait for the edict was utterly impossible; if he dared to suggest such a thing, he guessed he'd likely get a beating from these little demons.
The little demon didn't dare to be too neglectful and posted guards around Li Changgeng while he entered the Water Curtain Cave to report the news to Wukong.
