A massive surge of energy erupted from Alex's body as he attempted to break through the invisible membrane between worlds.
Finally, after expending most of his energy, the membrane shattered. Alex felt a refreshing sensation wash over him as a portal, not spewing the usual golden sparks but instead emitting colorful ones, slowly formed in front of him.
Through the portal, Alex saw the other side—an overgrown, lush forest. But from just that view alone, Alex couldn't determine which world this was, so he stepped through the gate and entered.
As he emerged from the portal, the salty sea breeze of Themyscira vanished, replaced by the damp scent of soil mixed with the fragrant aroma of plants. It was a fresh and ancient forest aroma, one rarely experienced in modern times.
A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and the sunlight filtering through the canopy created a beautiful Tyndall effect. The scene was like a serene painting, causing Alex to momentarily relax.
However, the blood-tinged scent carried on the breeze soon caused Alex to frown, disrupting his peaceful mood and snapping him out of the tranquil environment. He began to carefully assess the world's energy.
The energy density around him was low, far below that of the Marvel and DC universes, giving Alex an uncomfortable, suffocating sensation. However, this discomfort quickly disappeared as the pocket universe within him transmitted vast amounts of energy, stabilizing him.
It was evident that this world's power level was much lower than that of the Marvel or DC universes. With someone like Alex, who had likely surpassed this world's limits, his strength here might be beyond comprehension. If beings like Darkseid or other dimensional gods arrived in this universe, their power would be significantly diminished, limited by the world's natural "ceiling."
But Alex was different. He had created the pocket universe, and he wasn't its puppet; he was its true master. Unlike other dimensional gods whose power was fixed to a specific dimension, Alex could carry his pocket universe wherever he went.
So, even in this world, he could continue to accelerate his template fusion at full speed and draw from the constant energy supply of his pocket universe, operating at maximum power.
His plan to build an artificial universe had already begun to bear fruit!
Since his abilities drew energy from the pocket universe, Alex didn't need to adjust to the energy in this world; none of his powers were hindered.
Opening his Six Eyes, Alex's vibrant blue irises gleamed with ethereal light. Everything within a ten-kilometer radius was laid bare before him. And with more energy input, this distance could increase indefinitely.
He observed the dense forest, charred remains of trees, the wildlife within, and ninja warriors wearing strange forehead protectors locked in battle. The smell of blood came from the corpses of these fallen shinobi.
It didn't take long for Alex to recognize the world he had landed in—the world of shinobi, or more commonly known as the world of Naruto!
Undoubtedly, with his strength, he could dominate this world. Even the feared Ōtsutsuki clan from the later arcs wouldn't stand a chance against him.
Since there was no imminent danger, Alex started thinking about what he could gain from this world and what could enhance his pocket universe.
After some thought, Alex realized that one thing, in particular, could be of significant value—the Ten-Tails.
Though its energy level was relatively low, the Ten-Tails possessed several unique characteristics that would be useful to him.
The Ten-Tails was the seed of the God Tree and the origin of chakra. Over time, it would grow, its roots spreading across an entire planet, gradually absorbing all its energy until it produced a chakra fruit.
If Alex could acquire a Ten-Tails seedling, he could plant it in different worlds, return after some time, and harvest an immense amount of energy.
And that was just the beginning. With his extensive knowledge of advanced technology and his various abilities, Alex could even modify the Ten-Tails, turning it into a creature that could absorb the power of an entire universe!
Of course, planting the Ten-Tails inside his pocket universe was also an excellent option. Not only would it beautify the environment, but it would also introduce a new type of energy to the pocket universe.
After pondering for a while, Alex grinned contentedly, deciding on his goal in the Naruto world. But aside from obtaining the Ten-Tails, there were other things he wanted to do.
Having arrived in a world where he faced no real threats, he thought it was the perfect opportunity to have some fun!
And right in his line of sight, he saw the perfect way to start.
…
Obito Uchiha lay crushed beneath a massive boulder, unable to move. The excruciating pain radiating from the right side of his body was beginning to fade as he neared death.
He could see Kakashi struggling to push the heavy rock off him, but it was futile. Obito, his voice weak, said, "Kakashi, stop… I'm done for…"
Rin Nohara, seeing the scene, covered her mouth, unable to watch, while Kakashi knelt on the ground, pounding the dirt with his fist.
"Damn it! Damn it!" Kakashi shouted, knowing that Obito's current condition was all his fault. If Obito hadn't saved him, the boulder would have never crushed him.
Grief consumed Kakashi, bringing him to tears for the first time since the death of his father, White Fang.
Obito, still kind-hearted despite his suffering, tried to comfort his comrades. "Kakashi, it's not your fault… And, well, it looks like I'm the only one who didn't give you a present when you became a Jonin… I've decided… I'll give you my Sharingan."
Then he turned to Rin, saying, "Rin, use your medical ninjutsu to transplant my Sharingan into Kakashi's eye socket."
Rin agreed immediately, and both she and Obito persuaded Kakashi, explaining it was the best choice.
Eventually, Kakashi relented. After the eye transplant, he and Rin looked at Obito one last time before leaving the collapsing cave.
As the two disappeared from sight, Alex emerged from the shadows, gazing at the ground. Beneath him, Madara Uchiha and his minions were already preparing to save Obito.
But Alex wasn't here to interfere. He intended to replace Obito, becoming a new version of him!
He chuckled to himself, stroking his chin. Hopefully, when Obito saw another version of himself staying with his friends, inheriting everything and winning Rin's heart, he would be happy.
Alex smiled as he walked forward. With every step, his height decreased until he took on the appearance of a 12-year-old boy. His face morphed until he looked exactly like Obito, his Sharingan spinning slowly in his eyes.
Using his RCT, which could act on and modify anything, Alex had no trouble accomplishing this transformation.
With one final step, he arrived behind Kakashi and Rin, both unaware of his approach.
Running weakly toward them, Alex called out, "Rin… Kakashi…"
Having already used his Unlimited Void to read Obito's memories, Alex perfectly mimicked his voice and mannerisms, making him indistinguishable from the real Obito.
Ninja had sharp senses, and even the slightest noise could alert them. Kakashi and Rin immediately turned around, eyes wide with disbelief.
"That's Obito's voice!" they thought.
They rushed back to find a fully healed Obito leaning against a tree, the Sharingan in both his eyes spinning slowly.
Rin moved to help him, but Kakashi stopped her. Despite his grief, he retained his sharp instincts as a Jonin.
He stared coldly at the person before him, asking, "Who are you?"
Alex, having anticipated this, smirked and replied, "Damn it, Kakashi, how could you stop Rin from helping me?!"
Upon hearing those words, both Kakashi and Rin breathed a sigh of relief. That tone was unmistakably Obito's.
But they didn't completely let their guard down. Still gripping their kunai, they cautiously approached him.
"Obito, how are your injuries healed? And what's with your eyes?" Kakashi asked, his voice tense.
Alex pretended to be weak, replying, "Just as I was about to die, I awakened these eyes. They have two strange abilities. One of them allowed me to push the boulder off me, and the other… healed my injuries."
Kakashi remained cautious, but Alex added, "Rin, don't you believe me?"
Rin scratched her cheek, embarrassed. "Obito, how about you demonstrate those powers? Then we'll know for sure."
"Alright," Alex said, perfectly portraying Obito's personality. "Since Rin asked, I'll show you!"
He drew a kunai and cut his arm. Within moments, the wound healed before their eyes.
Seeing the injury heal instantly, both Kakashi and Rin finally lowered their guard.
This was undeniably Obito!
As a medical ninja, Rin was particularly excited, realizing the potential of this ability.
"Obito, can your power work on other people too?" she asked eagerly.
Alex feigned exhaustion, saying, "Rin… I'm still injured…"
Rin immediately calmed down, her face flushing with embarrassment. "Sorry, Obito… I didn't mean to…"
Before she could finish, Alex gently patted her head, savoring the soft sensation. Before she could pull away, he smiled and said, "Rin, no matter what you do, I could never be mad at you… And yes, I think I can use this power on others."
Rin Nohara: "!!!"
Kakashi: "!!!"
Even if this ability couldn't be used frequently and had a huge energy cost, it was still incredibly powerful!
Both of them realized that a medical ninja on par with, or perhaps even surpassing, Lady Tsunade had been born!
