General Zod wiped his chin, his fingers stained with blood.
He was injured—by a human from Earth.
The destruction of Krypton and his current defeat in battle drove Zod to madness. He roared, "Do you know who I am? I was born to protect Krypton. I have the strongest combat genes. How could someone from a backward planet like Earth be my match?"
Batman didn't answer but charged at General Zod again.
His combat experience was extensive, and he quickly adapted to his newfound strength, combining repulsion and gravity to create new techniques.
With the enhancement of repulsion and gravity, Batman, using a body as strong as Zod's, quickly gained the upper hand. The peak combat skills of Krypton and Earth clashed, but Earth triumphed.
As expected of DC's favored son, Batman wasn't even directly involved in the previous confrontations. Just from observation, he had gathered enough information to create several plans to deal with General Zod.
Each time they clashed, Batman used repulsion and gravity to throw Zod off balance. Black, red, and deep blue flashed continuously, displaying breathtaking combat skills.
Even though Batman didn't have six eyes, he achieved precise energy manipulation. That's the charm of Batman.
In the sky, Superman and Alex watched. Seeing General Zod completely suppressed by Batman, Superman was shocked.
In their previous battle, Superman had been entirely on the defensive, almost powerless.
As time passed, General Zod's injuries worsened. Even though the radiation from the yellow sun replenished his energy, it was nowhere near enough to compensate for his loss. When Zod was hit in the head again, he could no longer resist, flying through the air and lying motionless in a crater several dozen meters away.
Batman rushed forward to deliver the final blow. He hated Zod and wanted to kill him to avenge those who died in the Black Zero event.
Just as Batman's fist was about to strike Zod, a figure appeared in front of him, effortlessly catching his punch.
Alex had teleported in front of General Zod, blocking Batman's attack. Facing Batman's puzzled gaze, he explained, "I need them to provide me with energy."
Batman, regaining his composure, considered that all his current strength came from the Traveler Batman. He stopped his attack and asked Alex, "What do you plan to do with him?"
Alex pointed to the numerous Kryptonians floating in the air behind him. "This is his fate, at least until I find a more convenient energy source."
General Zod slowly regained consciousness. Even he couldn't withstand repeated punches that broke the sound barrier, leaving him in a brief coma.
Upon waking, he found two Batmen talking in front of him and saw the many Kryptonian warriors floating behind one of them. Through their conversation, General Zod understood Alex's plan and shouted angrily, "How dare you humiliate the great warriors of Krypton? You'd better kill us now, or when we escape, we will brutally kill all humans!"
Alex grinned at Zod's threat, "You won't get the chance!"
Just like the other Kryptonian warriors, Alex broke Zod's limbs, placed a symbiote on him to absorb his Kryptonian physique, and restrained his movements, silencing his incessant shouting. After these steps, General Zod, like the other Kryptonians, became a captive of Alex, no more than livestock.
Batman, seeing this scene, was pleased. "This punishment is fitting. I like it."
Superman, standing nearby, wanted to say something but ultimately sighed, remaining silent.
Alex connected to the space around him and, along with Superman and Batman, instantly returned to Metropolis, entering the Kryptonian ship where Catwoman had been waiting.
Looking at the futuristic technology of the ship, Alex was very satisfied. However, since he didn't know how to control it, he released Faora from his pocket dimension and asked her how to operate the Kryptonian ship.
At first, Faora resisted vehemently. Even after Alex controlled the symbiote attached to her and punished her thoroughly, her face flushed, and she still gritted her teeth in defiance. Alex wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but Faora's eyes seemed to reveal a hint of expectation.
No matter how much Alex tormented Faora, she seemed to enjoy it rather than cooperate, which frustrated Alex.
Suddenly, Alex had an idea and opened the system panel:
[Unlimited Void lv3 (978/1000): Drag opponents into the limitless inner world, forcing their brains to repeatedly conduct 'perception' and 'transmission' in order to survive. This creates an overload of useless information, rendering their brains non-functional, leaving them standing helplessly until death. Only those touched by the host are immune!]
Since Alex preferred the feeling of crushing his enemies with his fists and now had the Mind Stone, he rarely used domain expansions like Unlimited Void, which had become one of the lowest-leveled skills in his Gojo Satoru template.
However, through sporadic use, Unlimited Void had reached level 3.
Compared to before, the level 3 domain only extended its range from 200 meters to 5,000 meters.
Now close to leveling up, Alex intuitively sensed that the next level of Unlimited Void might solve his current problem.
Without hesitation, Alex continuously activated a domain that only covered himself, using his massive internal energy reserves. The experience points for Limitless Void increased rapidly and soon it leveled up:
[Unlimited Void experience +1]
[Unlimited Void lv4 (1/5000): Drag opponents into the limitless inner world. The host can now precisely target enemies, extract their memories, and implant new ones.]
The level 4 Unlimited Void surpassed Gojo Satoru's version, reaching a new realm.
Its range increased from 5,000 meters to 20 kilometers. This radius, not diameter, meant Alex could now potentially wipe out a small nation if standing within it!
Moreover, the precision of Unlimited Void had improved. Initially, everyone in its range would be affected, even allies, unless they were in direct contact with Alex. Now, Alex could selectively target enemies, avoiding collateral damage.
Most notably, Unlimited Void now allowed Alex to extract or implant memories in targets' minds.
This ability covered Alex's previous shortcoming in the mental realm, perfectly solving his current dilemma.
Alex immediately used Unlimited Void to extract Faora's memories, obtaining the instructions for operating the Ark II. He also discovered that, despite her serious demeanor, Faora was secretly a masochist who longed to be "disciplined" by the symbiote, leaving Alex speechless.
Nevertheless, Alex wasn't about to discard such a useful tool. He implanted memories of loyalty toward him in Faora's mind before releasing her control.
Upon landing, Faora, her face flushed, respectfully said to Alex, "Commander, I will now activate the Ark II."
Nearby, Catwoman, Clark, and Batman watched in confusion. In their eyes, the symbiote on Faora's body had merely wriggled a little before she displayed an odd expression. However, she still hadn't surrendered.
Then Alex closed his eyes and concentrated. Moments later, after making a strange gesture, Faora instantly submitted, like a dog that had been tamed, treating Alex with great reverence.
It was Batman who finally asked Alex, "Traveler, what did you do? Why is this Kryptonian suddenly following your orders?"
Alex gave Batman a disdainful glance, replying matter-of-factly, "Anyone who's been Batman knows that besides the superhuman physique to easily defeat Superman, months-long stamina, and a handsome face, Batman also has mind control abilities. Isn't that right, Mr. Wayne?"
Batman: "…"
How come I didn't know?
Alright, you've traveled the multiverse, you're awesome, whatever you say goes.
Batman sank into deep self-doubt. Could it be that I really am just an inferior Bat?
Even Clark beside him looked at Batman sympathetically and began to worry for himself.
If Batman is an inferior Bat, then what about me? Could I be an inferior Superman too?
Alex retrieved the World Engine from the Indian Ocean and combined it with the Ark II. He was preparing to take his newly acquired ride for a spin into space when suddenly a few armed helicopters blocked his path.
Sensing them with his Six Eyes, Alex's smile grew cold, and a broadcast came from the outside:
"Attention, those inside the ship! Surrender the Kryptonian vessel and submit immediately. This ship is the rightful property of the United States!"
'Shit'
Batman and Superman's expressions changed drastically. Even though they had only spent a short time with Alex, they understood what kind of person the Traveler Batman was.
He was kind, but not a saint. He had principles—if no one provoked him, he wouldn't provoke them.
But if someone crossed his line, he would be far more terrifying than even the most ruthless Kryptonian!
And with his power, he was indeed a monster far more terrifying than Kryptonians!
At this point, the actions of the U.S. government had clearly crossed Alex's bottom line!
