A figure emerged from the group of Root ninjas—none other than the so-called "Darkness of Konoha," Shimura Danzo.
Alex knew exactly why Danzo had come. It was all about the Mangekyō Sharingan.
In the original story, Uchiha Shisui had voluntarily revealed the power of his Mangekyō Sharingan. Just a few days later, he was ambushed by Danzo, who stole one of his Kotoamatsukami Sharingan. Shortly after, Shisui entrusted the other eye to Uchiha Itachi before meeting an untimely death.
Although Alex was well aware of everything, he decided to put on a little performance. After all, it was a rare source of amusement for him.
Feigning fear, Alex stepped back, his face full of terror as he confronted Danzo.
"Lord Danzo, what are you doing? Why are you leading so many ANBU to surround me?" Alex asked with an expression of fear.
Danzo coldly looked at his target and replied in a harsh tone, "Evil Uchiha brat, your eyes are too dangerous. I must confiscate them to maintain peace in Konoha."
Alex inwardly rolled his eyes. Danzo's words about doing everything for Konoha were just excuses—everything he did was for his own gain.
In the beginning, Danzo might have genuinely wanted to protect Konoha, but over time, he had changed. Now, he was nothing more than a selfish, power-hungry man obsessed with becoming Hokage, a rotten root hidden beneath the soil.
Alex maintained his terrified expression and continued to back away, saying, "Does the Hokage know what you're doing? Lord Hokage would never agree to this!"
"Do you mean Hiruzen?" Danzo's expression shifted for a moment, but then he quickly regained his composure. "Hiruzen has lost his edge, but I am the true protector of Konoha!"
"You... aren't you afraid the Hokage will find out what you're doing?" Alex asked, still acting frightened.
"Don't worry. Everything that happens here today will be buried. No one will ever know!" Danzo responded coldly.
Looking at the trembling young man before him, Danzo felt a bit disappointed. He hadn't expected that someone who had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan would turn out to be such a coward.
"Obito's" behavior was making him lose interest.
However, just as Danzo was about to order his Root ninjas to kill Obito, he noticed something strange. Alex's body had stopped trembling, and when he raised his head, his Mangekyō Sharingan was spinning steadily, his eyes showing not the slightest hint of fear.
"No one will know? How ironic." Alex said with a smirk.
!!!
Staring into Alex's blood-red eyes, Danzo's battle-honed instincts screamed danger. He immediately gave the order: "Attack! Kill him!"
In preparation for this mission, Danzo had brought out all of his forces. Two members of the Aburame clan, Ryoma and Torune, instantly released their parasitic insects, sending them swarming toward Alex. Meanwhile, a member of the Yamanaka clan, Yamanaka Fū, launched his Mind Transfer Jutsu.
Other ninjas unleashed various Wind Release jutsu, all aimed at Alex. The combined force of these attacks created a terrifying vortex, as if it would swallow everything in its path.
The scale of the attack was immense. Other than someone as powerful as Uchiha Madara, even the Five Kage would struggle to withstand such a barrage head-on.
Danzo watched confidently as the waves of ninjutsu were about to engulf Alex. Even with the Mangekyō Sharingan and the ability to summon Susanoo, there was no way Alex could emerge unscathed from this onslaught.
Danzo's plan was flawless. However, whether Alex was actually Obito or not, Danzo was destined to fail.
It wasn't just about the real Obito possessing Kamui, which allowed him to phase through attacks. Alex was different from any other Mangekyō Sharingan user.
If Senju Hashirama was the "God of Shinobi," then Alex was the true god.
Alex didn't bother with a large-scale battle or activating his domain. After all, Danzo wasn't worthy. Instead, he activated his Limitless Technique, completely manipulating the space around him.
In the next moment, everything—the parasitic insects flying through the air, the incoming fireballs—came to a sudden halt, frozen in place, trapped within this manipulated space.
Since it was space itself that had been sealed, neither Danzo nor the Root ninjas lost consciousness. They watched, fully aware, as Alex calmly walked through their frozen jutsu, stepping past the suspended attacks to stand before them.
One by one, Alex approached the Root ninjas, slicing open their throats, killing them effortlessly.
In just moments, all the ninjas were dead, leaving only Danzo standing.
Danzo was stunned by the incomprehensible sight before him. He struggled with all his might, his muscles and bones trembling violently, but the invisible barrier surrounding him kept him completely immobilized.
Alex approached Danzo, shaking his head with a look of mild regret.
"How pathetic, Lord Advisor of the Hokage. I didn't plan on doing much—I just wanted to enjoy myself a bit and leave this world after obtaining the Ten-Tails. But why did you have to cause trouble? Wouldn't it have been better to live quietly?"
Danzo's pupils constricted violently as he processed Alex's words. He had gained far too much information from that one statement.
The man standing before him was definitely not Uchiha Obito, and he might not even be from this world! Who was he really, and what were his intentions in coming to Konoha?
At that moment, Danzo finally regretted provoking this monster. But it was already too late…
Alex snapped his fingers, and in an instant, his domain expanded and then retracted. In that brief moment, the bodies of the Root ninjas rapidly disintegrated, scattering in the wind, while the signs of battle disappeared, restoring the surroundings to their original state as if nothing had ever happened.
Finally, Alex glanced at Danzo with a bright smile and then turned and walked past him.
Danzo sighed in relief. The mysterious man disguised as Uchiha Obito had spared his life.
Was it arrogance? Or perhaps he feared the power of Konoha?
Whatever the reason, as long as Danzo survived, he would inform Hiruzen Sarutobi of what had happened and marshal all available forces to kill this man!
But before any of the plans in Danzo's mind could take shape, his body, along with the other Root ninjas, turned to dust and disappeared.
Danzo's death caused little disturbance because the moment Alex's domain expanded, he erased all memories of Danzo from the minds of everyone in the ninja world—even the Sage of Six Paths, hiding in another realm, was no exception.
Returning to Obito's house, Alex didn't linger in the small, shabby place for long. He quickly returned to his pocket dimension.
Due to his pocket dimension, Alex had brought the entire Paradise Island and Catwoman, along with others, into the Shinobi World.
After relaxing and making mochi with Catwoman and the others, Alex began experimenting with the Shadow Clone Technique.
He summoned ten shadow clones and instructed them to train various skills. However, after a long time, only the original experience from the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique increased, while none of the other skills showed any improvement.
This left Alex somewhat disappointed, though it made sense to him. How could the system allow him to find such an easy exploit?
During his continuous training, several skills rapidly gained experience:
[Mirror Dimension Experience +1]
[Hollow Technique "Purple" Experience +1]
[Third Tree: Abyss Experience +1]
[Multi-Shadow Clone Technique Experience +1]
For Alex, leveling up skills to lv2 was incredibly easy. Within a single day, he managed to raise the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique to lv3.
[Multi-Shadow Clone Technique Experience +1]
[Congratulations! Your skill "Purple" has leveled up!]
[Multi-Shadow Clone Technique lv3 (1/1000): With a massive amount of chakra, you can create tens of millions of shadow clones, each a physical entity. Dispelling them grants you their memories, and chakra can be replaced with energy!]
A flood of information entered Alex's mind, and once he absorbed it all, he had fully mastered the lv3 Multi-Shadow Clone Technique.
At this level, the clones were fully physical and could exist indefinitely, unlike the inferior clones that would vanish when struck.
And with one more upgrade, Alex would be able to create other types of clones, like ice or flame clones…
Replacing his Root clone targets with new ones, Alex continued his training.
First to upgrade was Purple. As Alex's strongest and most difficult skill to upgrade, "Purple" finally reached lv4.
[Holkw Technique "Purple" Experience +1]
[Congratulations! Your skill "Purple" has leveled up!]
[Hollow Technique "Purple" lv4 (1/5000): Combines "Blue" and "Red" techniques, forming hypothetical mass. You can manipulate this mass with precision, turning it into non-extraordinary physical entities. With significant energy consumption, the mass can persist for a long time!]
A vast amount of information filled Alex's mind. Compared to the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique, the upgrade of Purple brought in dozens of times more data.
Once he had absorbed all of the new knowledge, Alex's face lit up with joy. Reaching lv4, Purple" had undergone a significant transformation.
Firstly, his control over Purple had become much more refined, allowing him to make complex changes in an instant.
Secondly, by consuming large amounts of energy, he could make the hypothetical mass created by Purple last for a long time, until its internal energy was fully depleted.
Most importantly, after advancing Purple to lv4, Alex could now use it to create matter! Although the matter lacked extraordinary energy and couldn't exist permanently, it was still a massive leap forward!
And this was only lv4. Alex believed that once Purple reached higher levels—lv5, lv6, or even lv7—he would be able to create extraordinary matter that could exist permanently, and perhaps even use "Purple" to create an entire world!
After leveling up "Purple," Alex's progress didn't stop. Another skill had also leveled up!
[Third Tree: Abyss Experience +1]
[Congratulations! Your skill Third Tree: Abyss has leveled up!]
[Third Tree: Abyss lv2 (1/300): Having crossed the abyss, you can now fuse magic technology with the soul, granting unparalleled augmentation and releasing a vector 'spear' that ignores immortality!]
Another flood of information filled Alex's mind. Like "Purple" Third Tree: Abyss was one of the most challenging skills to level up, and even just reaching lv2 had brought significant improvements.
Unlike Purple, the enhancements from Third Tree: Abyss were simple, but they represented the beauty of extreme power!
When Alex entered the Third Tree: Abyss state, his overall strength increased tenfold!
