Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Themyscira

Paradise Island was created by Zeus, not naturally formed. It is surrounded by a magical barrier that hides its location while also protecting its environment from external pollution.

Under the clear blue sky, Alex and Selina walked on the pristine beach, taking in everything before them.

It was an island covered in greenery, with towering mountains and an ancient city spiraling around the peaks. The greenery on the city walls spoke of its long history.

Looking at the beautiful island ahead, Alex nodded, "Not bad, it's mine now."

Due to the magical aura from using a portal, the Amazons discovered the presence of intruders.

As Alex and Catwoman ventured deeper into Paradise Island, they became increasingly fond of the place. Combined with the magical barrier that protected it, the island seemed like an excellent base.

Just as they entered the ancient city, a flurry of footsteps suddenly surrounded them.

Tall women clad in old-fashioned armor rushed out from the alleys, encircling Alex and Catwoman.

One woman, dressed more lavishly than the others, stepped forward and addressed them sternly, "Outsiders, how did you breach Paradise Island, and what is your purpose here?"

Carefully studying the woman before him, Alex immediately recognized her as Hippolyta, the Queen of the Amazons. However, she appeared much younger and more beautiful than in the movies. If Alex hadn't known her identity, he would have mistaken her for a twenty-something girl.

But Alex wasn't one to be swayed by beauty. He was more the type to kill and conquer, so Hippolyta's appearance didn't affect his decision-making at all.

Alex decided to use diplomacy before resorting to force. He bowed slightly and said, "Respected Queen of the Amazons, my companion and I are here to ask a favor."

Seeing the courteous demeanor of the two intruders, Hippolyta relaxed a little, thinking they weren't enemies. However, her years of battle experience kept her on guard. She maintained her dignity and replied calmly, "Speak."

Alex smiled warmly and said, "I ask you to give me the Mother Box so that I may guard it."

The faces of the Amazons changed drastically, and they prepared to attack Alex, but he quickly continued, "Soon, Steppenwolf will invade Earth, seeking to gather the three Mother Boxes to open a portal and help Darkseid conquer Earth!"

"Steppenwolf is incredibly powerful. With your strength, you cannot protect the Mother Box. It should be kept by me for safekeeping."

The Amazons were shocked, halting their attacks. All eyes turned to Hippolyta. If Steppenwolf really did attack, they might not be able to defend the Mother Box with their strength.

Hippolyta, her expression grim, looked at Alex and asked, "How did you come by this information?"

"I have the ability to foresee the future," Alex replied. "I saw it all: the birth of Doomsday, the death of Superman, the rise of the Justice League, the arrival of Steppenwolf, and countless Amazon warriors dying before Earth falls to conquest."

Hippolyta was silent. She was somewhat convinced by Alex's words, but even if she believed him, she still refused his proposal. "Even if I trust your prophecy, I cannot hand over the Mother Box. It is far too important, connected to the future of Earth. Why do you think you and your companion are stronger than the entire Amazon tribe?"

Realizing that he needed to prove his strength, Alex grinned, "You're welcome to test me."

Silence fell over the area. Although Alex still wore a friendly smile, the Amazons sensed something different. It was an instinctive fear of a powerful being, a pressure from the unknown that made their bodies tremble uncontrollably.

Hippolyta, the most sensitive among them, felt it the strongest. The intruder before her wasn't as harmless as he seemed, nor were his intentions as pure.

She said gravely, "Very well, as you wish."

At her command, the Amazon warriors launched their attack.

A rain of arrows descended upon Alex, but before they could reach him, they stopped five meters away, suspended in mid-air.

Unperturbed, Alex walked toward Hippolyta. The Amazons unleashed even fiercer attacks, but the arrows, capable of tearing through stone, also halted five meters from Alex.

Seeing this, Hippolyta personally drew her bow. In a thunderous roar, the arrow she released broke the sound barrier as it hurtled toward Alex. Yet, like the others, it stopped five meters away.

As Alex approached, Hippolyta's face grew tense. "What did you do?"

Alex smiled. "Just a small trick of manipulating space, nothing significant. Now, can I have the Mother Box?"

Hippolyta was silent. The man before her was far stronger than she had imagined, capable of crushing Paradise Island with ease. Giving him the Mother Box did seem safer.

However, she still had her reservations. After some thought, she said, "I will give you the Mother Box, but since I cannot be sure you are not allied with Steppenwolf, I cannot allow you to leave. You may live on Paradise Island and guard the Mother Box under close supervision."

Alex nodded slightly and then asked, "There's one more thing…"

Hippolyta looked at him, waiting for his question.

Suddenly, her expression changed as lightning erupted around the man, shattering the ground beneath his feet. Endless energy expanded outward, enveloping him like an aura.

Then the devil spoke, "Respected Queen of the Amazons, I like this island. Would you give it to me?"

Hippolyta: "???"

The Amazon warriors: "???"

"Sorry, did I hear that correctly?" Hippolyta instinctively took a step back, asking Alex again, only to receive the same reply.

"No, you heard right. I like this island, so it's mine now."

The white devil dropped his pretense and issued the command to Hippolyta, his tone high and mighty.

Hippolyta immediately retreated and ordered the Amazons, "Send a distress signal to Diana and attack this man! He is not our ally—he's likely working with Steppenwolf!"

Once again, arrows rained down on Alex, but as before, they couldn't even reach him, let alone harm him.

Amused by the futility of their attacks, Alex smiled and formed a seal with his hands. In an instant, an invisible force expanded, enveloping the entire island.

"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void."

All of the Amazon warriors, except Hippolyta, stopped their assault. False memories flooded their minds, and their gazes changed.

Moments later, under Hippolyta's disbelieving and despairing gaze, all the Amazon warriors knelt on one knee before Alex.

"Master!"

As the Amazon warriors knelt in submission, Alex smiled at Hippolyta and said, "Respected Queen, you wouldn't want to see these beautiful warriors get hurt, would you?"

Alex left Hippolyta untouched, savoring her despair. Not even her past enslavement by Hercules felt as crushing as this moment.

What had just happened? Had the world gone mad, or had she?

Why had her sisters suddenly knelt before this man and called him "Master"?

Hippolyta trembled as she asked, "What have you done?"

But Alex didn't answer. Instead, he reached out, grabbed her by the jaw, and said coldly, "You know what I want to hear."

Understanding his demand, Hippolyta, swallowing her pride for the sake of her warriors, trembled as she said, "Master…"

Satisfied, Alex nodded, his twisted sense of humor fulfilled.

After subduing the Amazons, Alex, led by Hippolyta and the others, quickly arrived at the location of the Mother Box.

They stopped in an ancient palace. In front of Alex floated a crimson cube, radiating immense energy. However, the mysterious runes carved on the walls prevented it from releasing any energy beyond its confines.

This was the Mother Box, an extremely powerful artifact capable of energy manipulation, gravity control, telepathy, teleportation, and more—a DC counterpart to Marvel's Infinity Stones, but more versatile.

Alex slowly approached the Mother Box and reached out to touch it.

But the Mother Box rejected him, trembling violently and pushing him away with its repelling force.

Hippolyta stood by, ready to witness Alex's failure. Despite his strength, she didn't believe he could forcefully control the Mother Box.

However, to her surprise, Alex abruptly reached out, ignoring the tremendous repelling force. Amid black and red lightning, he pressed his hand onto the Mother Box!

An overwhelming, visible energy burst forth from the Mother Box, but Alex absorbed it. Slowly, the Mother Box's tremors ceased, and it stabilized.

He had tamed it.
