Chereads / Turrim's Twin Gods / Chapter 4 - 4: Soulbound & First Hunt

Chapter 4 - 4: Soulbound & First Hunt

(This chapter hasnt been edited yet. Its in a very rudimentary form and is not worth the spoilers. Though, if you wish to read go ahead! :))

There's… another thing on there. A skill, even though the information given told us that skills were earned through the actions of the player. For example, if you slashed the same way 1000 times, you would probably get a skill related to slashing.

I clicked the skill.

Soulbound (MAX)

You are soulbound to the sharer of this skill.

If they die, you die.

When fighting alongside the other individual, all stats +100%.

Able to communicate using your mind.

There's unknown effects.

"Hey Kale, look at this."

I showed Kale the skill effects.

"This is perfect for us… THANK YOU WEIRD ASS GOD OR WHOEVER GAVE US THIS… MWAH"

"...Was that necessary?"

"Yup!"

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw a small box with a flashing yellow dot.

Plane Quest: Survive 30 days

(Remaining time: 29d 18hrs 56min)

—----

I instantly realized that this was the condition needed to go to the next plane.

30 days huh…?

We quickly went to sleep and the night passed smoothly. After we got up we packed everything up and went to find somewhere to make home while in this plane. We started walking, well, more like hiking. Because we fell down a waterfall, we were currently scaling the mountain. One slip and poof, we die.

Soon, we found ourselves a resting spot. It was a small cave on the side of the mountain. I didn't go inside yet and used the materials we got on our way to make decent items, and left Kale to set everything up inside the house. Back on earth, I was into katanas for multiple reasons. I plan to use a katana as my main weapon. While asking on the way Kale didn't know and decided to just go with a standard longsword. But then again, I can't make either of those with broken stone. So we will have to deal with daggers for now.

The main reason we are making weapons is to kill stuff in order to level up. Leveling up is equivalent to getting stronger and will help us survive. If we want to get strong enough to kill the bastards called 'gods' that threw us into a hell similar to the one we just escaped, we need power. Leveling up is the way to get said power.

The daggers were made. They weren't too big, not too small either. They were both curved to a certain degree, looking like some really trashy, half-sized cutlasses. Just enough to kill some animals. Kale came out just in time.

"You ready Kale?"

"Hell Yeah!"

After around 15 minutes of walking in the nearby forest, we saw tracks. We were sure it was boar tracks but… 3 times as big.

"Holy shit it's Bigfoot."

I looked at Kale like he was crazy.

"Think about it… We reverse time and cross dimensions, give this to some researchers on earth then we are rich!"

"And do what with the money? Sit on our ass until the giant dildo holding the universe together brings us back into this hell scape? Don't think so." I exclaimed.

"Tch. So tense"

After following the tracks for about 500 feet, it led us to a small clearing in the forest. A boar, the size of a grizzly bear, with tusks resembling the ancient warhorns used back on earth, was eating grass seemingly unaware of the dangers lurking around it.

At this point, we were both in trees, stalking it like a hawk. Since we didn't want to startle it, we used the mental communication from the soulbound skill to our advantage.

Kale… Is it working?

You scared the shit out of me… Kale 'said' while looking at me with a stern expression.

…Unless you want me to kiss your emotional boo-boo, listen up. That thing is extremely strong. Here's the plan…

The time came, their first fight for survival in this familiar yet unfamiliar world. The boar was currently in a small circular clearing, surrounded by trees. I was on the tree to the left of the boar and Kale on the right.

Now!

We both sprinted out towards the boar, with me slashing the back of its neck and Kale slashing the bridge of its snout.

The boar wailed in agony and thrashed, trying to look for its attackers, who were sitting in the trees again.

This… will be harder than I thought.

We did the same attack again, however the boar was aware of the dangers this time and dodged. We both realized and quickly went back to the trees, however the boar still saw me. It stood still for a moment with a red aura forming around its snout while huffing and puffing. Suddenly, at a speed my brain couldn't even process, it appeared at the trunk of my tree, hitting it so hard causing the tree to collapse. I fell in the air towards the boar, unable to move as I was mid air.

I saw a blinding light out of the corner of my eye, it was a giant projection of a… shitty stone dagger?

BOOOOM!

Through the shock the boar had, I was able to just barely escape.

What the hell was that Kale?!

My… God's hand trait. I feel very tired now, like I just ran a marathon…

Are you able to last the battle?

I hope… This things a monster.

The boar stood up, wobbly, but up. It.., wasn't normal though. It had a silver sphere built up of hexagons surrounding it, rotating slowly like a planet. I now know the importance and dangerousness of skills. What was used earlier to knock down the tree and the Charge skill. What it's using now is the Steel Shield skill.

No more being careless. It's no different from being hit by a semi truck at full speed.

We continued to dwindle its health and after around 5 minutes, it finally died.

Kales dagger broke as it was heavily damaged from his skill and mine was on the verge of death.

[Defeated Iron Boar]

You obtain 5 free stat points

"That was harder to kill than a human…" Kale suggested

"No shit, it's a boar the size of a grizzly bear capable of pulling mystical powers out of its ass." I exclaimed.

"Mad it beat you up huh?" Kale chuckled.

"Shut up"

"I leveled up twice. I'm level 3 right now!" Kale said.

"Im level 2, meaning EXP is based on contribution. As you do more damage than me in general as well as that broken trait, I got left in the dust."

"Let's go back."

As we started walking, or rather, limping back, we saw smoke in the far distance, hinting to a fire. The smoke did not spread though, making the fire most likely controlled. Meaning… a camp.

"...Gamel.." I hissed through my teeth.
