In the dim lit room a boy lay in the bed staring at the moonlight that slipped through the windows as the curtain swaying as the moonlight danced around. He slowly approached the light and held his hands to capture the moonlight. As he grasped the light he slowly moved his hand back from the light. When he looked at his hand he saw his burnt skin, blood oozing from back and the strong smell of burnt flesh. Slowly the back of the boy's hand healed as blood and flesh came together and the wound had disappeared from his hand as if it was an illusion.
This had become a routine for the boy. A way to feel the warmth, a way to dream, a way to feel freedom and most importantly a path for hope that one day this light wouldn't burn him and he would one day bask in the sunlight. Hope for a day where he would hold hand of his little sister and fulfill his promise to take her to the Sine. He would take her to that garden and once again go back to those happy days even if he couldn't return to arms of their mother. He desperately hoped for the days to come but after years of patience his will had slowly corroded. His spirit gone. And his once beautiful sky blue eyes blurred as they lost the light shone.
Even with lost spirit, he hadn't given up yet. He couldn't give up yet. He had to fulfill his promise. He would one day fulfill his promise. So, he got up.
The boy stood tall, his stature came just below the door. His hair blue, the clothes he wore were reminiscent of shirt and trouser. He slowly moved towards the door and swiped his hand and behind him the curtain closed. As he head out of the room he walked down to the stairs and went to the kitchen. There he grabbed a cup and filled it with water and promptly gulped it down. Then slowly he turned around to head back upstairs. As he grabbed the railing on the side of the stair.
He heard the door bell ring. Ring, Ring, Ring.. For a minute he felt that he had finally lost it and was hallucinating. He was sure that there was no way anybody would come to this desolate land and especially to this place where the cursed child of house Nirn lived.
But when the bell rang again. Ring, Ring, Ring.. He was finally assured that somebody had arrived at this place. He slowly moved to the upper platform of the staircase so that the moonlight wouldn't burn him. And there he waved his hand and the door opened wide.
And there he heard a soft voice. Questioning:
Hello!! Is there any one here.
And he replied, "Come on in".
Slowly the girl walked in. She was wearing a dark blue coat, boots with big luggage oh her back and the way moonlight shone her she looked quite ethereal.
In that moment the girl looked up to meet the boy's eyes.
