"We've been walking for the day. Let's take a rest somewhere, what do you say, big brother Han?" Yong Li said, looking at Han Jun.
"Whatever," Han Jun replied emotionlessly.
The group found a spot to rest while Han Jun stood still, lost in thought about the Wonderland.
Time passed, and night fell. The harsh desert wind suddenly calmed, and the sky appeared abnormally dark.
"Seems like we'll sleep comfortably tonight," Yong Li murmured as he prepared to set up his tent.
"Sorry, but it's not going to be a comfortable night," Han Jun's chilling voice sounded, stopping Yong Li in his tracks.
"Big brother, is there a problem?" Yong Li asked in alarm.
Han Jun didn't reply, but right after Yong Li's question, the ground began to create a huge hole right in front of them. In shock, he shouted at his people, "Stand up immediately; there's trouble!"
Everyone quickly stood and prepared for a fight. The men gathered beside Yong Li as they watched the hole grow bigger and bigger.
"Roar!!!" An ear-splitting voice echoed throughout the desert. The sand slipped beneath people, and those with low cultivation levels were dragged into the hole.
"And here is another meal at my door! Haha!" A young voice sounded from every direction; the sound was impossible to trace and sent chills down everyone's spines.
"If my guess is right, that should be the desert dragon. I didn't think he would be awake during this period. I nearly forgot about him," Yong Li murmured in worry.
Han Jun made no comment.
"Humans, foolish and stupid! You also want to visit Wonderland? Haha, escape from me first!" the young voice laughed crazily.
Right after his words, a gigantic dragon body emerged from the swirling hole. It stretched up into the sky with a loud roar and looked down at the people before him with a mocking expression. "Free dinner," it said, and its tail swung toward the group.
Yong Li ran forward to protect his group and created an ice shield, but how could a mere ice withstand the force of a rock? The dragon's tail broke the shield easily and flung Yong Li away.
Yong Li flew several meters and coughed up blood.
"Brother Yong Li!"
"Brother Yong Li!" his men shouted.
Han Jun stood to one side, watching the scene with his hand rubbing his chin. "This dragon..." A smile appeared on his lips. "Sweetheart, do you like dragon meat?" he asked.
Ling Wei appeared beside Han Jun, her expression cold as she scoffed. "Dragon meat? You say? This thing doesn't have life; its whole body is made of sand," she replied, crossing her arms.
"En?" Han Jun was dumbfounded, his eyes fixed on the plumb body of the dragon, unable to believe Ling Wei's words. "You kidding me?" He looked at her strangely.
Ling Wei's face turned colder. "Seriously! You refuse to believe my words again?" she almost shouted.
"Apologies, but you haven't said anything I wouldn't believe before. What do you mean by 'again'?" Han Jun smiled.
"That thing isn't a creature with blood running in its veins; only sand is running through it. Believe it," Ling Wei asserted as she looked away.
"Oh... you even know its gender," Han Jun raised his brows in surprise.
"Tell me, is this not your first time seeing it?" he asked.
"Hmph, not even once. I even know that all desert dragons are male; this one is a freshly made one, I guess," Ling Wei replied.
Han Jun was about to ask more questions when he caught sight of a body flying toward him. Without thinking, he grabbed Ling Wei at the waist, and they quickly moved a few meters away from their previous spot.
He looked at the man who landed on the spot they stood earlier, groaning on the ground, soaked in blood, and frowned.
"Humans!" the desert dragon's voice sounded behind Ling Wei and Han Jun, trying to scare them; surprisingly, they were not frightened, which shocked him.
"My darling says you are made of sand! Let me prove her wrong," Han Jun's cold voice sounded.
"Haha," the desert dragon laughed loudly, the force of his voice causing the desert to tremble. "You are too full of yourself, human. However, this lady you claim to be your wife isn't bad. How about you leave her to me? I will only injure you a little in return." His gaze fixed on the calm Ling Wei.
Hearing the desert dragon's words, Han Jun frowned immediately. "You are calmly inviting your death," he said, his eyes sparkling, and in just a blink, he vanished from the desert dragon's sight.
"Ha, human! Stop playing; I don't like hide and seek," the desert dragon's chilling voice sounded.
"Good... I don't like that either," Han Jun replied, and right after his words, an unknown force suddenly blew the dragon away, shocking even the dragon himself.
"Roar!!!" the desert dragon roared in fury. "Congratulations, human, you have successfully unlocked the anger of this noble one!" His voice thundered again, and suddenly, the sand began to collapse.
"Darling, this journey won't be fun if these people die. Ensure their safety," Han Jun said to Ling Wei, who was in his embrace.
"Be careful," her voice was filled with concern.
"Forget carefulness; I am feeling..." A smile appeared on Han Jun's face. "Excited now." He released Ling Wei into the air and dashed toward the desert dragon.
Ling Wei looked at Han Jun and sighed. In the blink of an eye, she arrived before the injured men, one after the other, sending them to an unknown place.
"Be my first battle practice," Han Jun said, and then thorns began growing up from the desert, scratching the dragon wherever it landed. The desert dragon now dared not to descend upon the desert.
"What is this?" the desert dragon's angered voice sounded.
"Don't ask me, I don't know too," Han Jun replied, then lunged toward the dragon again. He appeared suddenly in front of the dragon and delivered a powerful punch right on its face.
Sand scattered all over Han Jun, some even entering his mouth. "Fu*k! Fu*k! You are really made of sand," he cursed, dusting the sand away from himself and sending a knowing look to Ling Wei, who simply hovered in the air, watching the show.
Ling Wei caught Han Jun's gaze and flashed him a mocking smile.
"Roar!" The dragon roared again, collapsing the thorny desert and finally allowing it to get down on the ground. "It has been years since I found a threatening opponent," he commented.
"And you have lived for too long; time for a replacement," Han Jun's voice suddenly turned cold. His left hand ignited with ice, while his right hand blazed with flames, which did not harm him. His eyes sparkled blue and red as the whole desert seemed to struggle under the combined forces of ice and fire. He seemed to have transformed into a different person.
Seeing the current Han Jun, Ling Wei's heart raced. "He is indeed Han Jun... I'm not mistaken. Thankfully, I didn't hold back because of my uncertainty," she murmured, her eyes filled with love and care.
"A double cultivator! No... it's triple!" the dragon murmured in shock.
"The world..." Han Jun's voice shifted, becoming colder, his expression showing no hint of warmth. "Forget about it," he completed.
Right after his words, the air around them froze. The fire and ice in Han Jun's palms mixed together and shot out, aiming for the dragon's head.
The desert dragon sensed danger and tried to flee, but the ice and fire were abnormally quick, piercing through his stomach and scattering sand all around. Just like that, the desert dragon was killed.
Han Jun's sparkling eyes calmed and returned to their normal red. He lost his balance and fell from the air.
Seeing Han Jun fall, Ling Wei quickly rushed to him, and with her help, they landed on the ground. Han Jun's head resting on her breast.
"Han Jun!" Ling Wei called, but Han Jun was already unconscious.
"You are still incomplete," she murmured, hearing no response from him. With a snap of her fingers, she built a tent and carried Han Jun inside, leaning him against herself. Slowly, she undressed, laying her net clothes on the ground and placing Han Jun on top of it. She wore only a thin short and tube top that concealed her breasts and curves. Leaning beside Han Jun, she gently caressed his handsome face, a sweet smile appearing on her lips. "Thank you for coming back. My belief didn't go to waste," she murmured, resting her head on his chest. She slept peacefully.
The next morning.
Han Jun woke up feeling refreshed and healthy. He lowered his gaze to see the heavy weight on his chest and spotted the green-haired lady, who resembled a babydoll, sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. A smile spread across his lips as he lay back, trying to recall the events of the previous day but could not. "How come I can't remember a thing? This situation feels increasingly suspicious. Did I get transmigrated or reincarnated? Why can't I recall anything?" he thought to himself, trying to piece together the memories.
Suddenly, his head throbbed painfully, and he grabbed his head.
Ling Wei was awakened by Han Jun's movements. She looked at his pained expression and saw a faint yellow light in the middle of his brows. Shocked, she bared her fangs and bit into his neck without any mercy.
The yellow light between Han Jun's brows disappeared, and he lost consciousness again.
Ling Wei drew her fangs from Han Jun's neck and looked at him. Her face paled as if she had been drained, and her green eyes slowly closed as she fainted.
