Michael loved soaring in the skies "It feels like the most natural thing in the world, must be a result of bonding with the chimera's celestial energy I have retained some of its abilities." he dived then swirled around in a spiral feeling the wind race in his ears then paused flapping before diving down then up the rush of new found freedom to roam the sky accelerating in his veins and he loved every second of it "this feeling of nostalgia must be like back then, my memories are still fragmented, the past few years they have been coming back slowly."
A tinge of regret and anger in his heart when two faces arose from deep within his psyche a woman and child he frequently saw in his dreams, the woman her name was Hinata, and the child Eva "They are people I cherished in my past life yet I can't quite remember them," each time he thought of them he felt sad "I wonder who they were, my memories from back in heaven before I came to earth and my time here feel out of reach and within reach at the same time like something is missing, Uh!" he groaned, a headache so strong struck he wavered but kept on going "I cant let myself lose consciousness" the headache grew stronger "It feels like a thousand needles prickling against my skull." he bit down his tongue swallowing the rising queasiness and increased speed the rush of air made him feel a bit better.
"Now then" he slowed down just over one of the houses near his home on the street he lived in before moving to the manor "I couldn't sense it before but now everything feels much clearer my elated senses combined with the monster's I can sense anything within a one-mile radius as if its right in front of me and that mysterious person his aura felt familiar like someone I know, that smell although vague, I have only smelt it from one person." landing was trickier than flying awkwardly he fluttered down the paved driveway his wings scattered away dry dead leaves he narrowly missed hitting the tree itself "Now how do I do this; imagine the large black thin golden veined bat-like wings retract back into my back." on cue the large black things folded down into his crunching into him at first he felt discomfort then nothing "I can still feel them in there two bumps of clustered bones made up of celestial energy beneath the skin. Even tracing my fingers over the skin has become perfectly flawless like I didn't just sprout bat wings moments ago." he let the shroud go fading into sparkles becoming fully visible.
He shrugged off shoes their soles were torn down flapping as he walked, and several tears spread on their surfaces, the cold surface of the paving felt nice under his feet. "My pants aren't that bad if one gets past the blood stains, is it me or did I get leaner" he surveyed himself "The euphoric feeling has almost disappeared now if this head pain would go away as well would be good." biting his tongue he trudged on bare chested and feet, the house was a normal suburban home no one seemed to be present the whole street was silent as it usually was during the afternoon.
Michael walked up to the porch and knocked on the door when it remained silent he knocked again several patches of white magnolias were planted in rectangular pots all over their sweet scent in a heightened state Michael could see the different life auras of living organisms all around him even sense the slightest movement or change in wind direction, there wasn't anyone in at least not anyone alive.
The headache despite how hard he bit down was getting worse he went down to the driveway and released the membrane wings stretching on either side "Crystal Shroud" light bent all around him becoming invisible "Let's meet next time Rainer"
When Alyssa saw her father fall time in her mind slowed into 3 seconds of shock taking the better part of the first two seconds on the third she jumped into action shoving bile down her throat she moved fast catching him before he hit the floor, long ago when she was younger in school they had taken her class on a field trip where they were given first aid training by then she had dismissed the class deeming it more important to gossip with her friends and its not like it affected her overall class marks whether she paid attention or not. In that moment seeing life drain from his now very pale face she called to every last dregs of memory from that day. She cradled his head over her lap his eyes fluttered barely awake "SOMEONE HELP!!!, HELP!!" she shouted her loudest voice "OK I can do this it must be something he drank or ate." her lips went dry remembering the thick coffee mug he was drinking from he never drinks coffee that's why she found it odd in the first place, she placed her middle finger and index finger in his mouth down his throat to try and induce puking nothing happened. "He's not breathing!" she shuddered carefully placing down his head she proceeded to do CPR counting 1 2 3 under heart breath with small gaps in between chest compression's
"HELP; SOMEBODY HELP!" she cried blinking tears "don't you dare die on me old man!"
Finally the red head assistant came rushing up the stairs next to the elevator "What happened…" her face lost all traces of color seeing her boss on the floor "CALL THE AMBULANCE NOW!" Alyssa shouted all while keeping up compressing and giving mouth to mouth resuscitation. The assistant snapping out of shock slipped out a mobile phone from one of the pockets of her pantsuit and dialed for emergency services "We need an ambulance urgently!" she shouted into the phone "Yes at the headquarters of Bailon Inc. NOW!"
"He's dying isn't he ?" Rena spoke on the phone not an ounce of emotion in her voice, Renee had called her the moment she saw Simon Bailon being taken into an ambulance Sofie Fairisle and Alyssa at his side the assistant's face ashen while Alyssa crying over her father's body "I am not sure but they just loaded him into an ambulance your sister is with them heading to the hospital."
"then what are your orders Miss?"
"Wait for further instructions, your done for now." Rena despite learning of her father's possible death, her voice failed to betray any emotion she hang up "Surely he's still her father she seemed so cold, I expected her to falter even a little bit" Renee thought staring at her phone's black screen "hmm" she chuckled "I guess money and power has a way of diluting blood bonds, yet I still crave for them with all my might." she quickly put on a sullen face can't have her smiling after what happened it would raise suspicion her way "It's noisy out here anyway." she left going back to her office in Bailon tower leaving behind scores of people most of whom were employees there staring the ambulance ride away.
Rena smiled as she stood in her room at Bailon Manor looking out the window servants went about their business below tending to the grounds and what not "Father is dead" she declared sipping red wine from a glass in her hand "One last obstacle to realizing my true goals, that is about to start." she laughed dryly "Dear sister I will not let you or your little bastard win I will have what is mine!" she threw the glass of wine at a wall sputtering glass and the cherry red fluid all over the floor. Some of the wine spilled on the white robe she had on, tears streaming down her face "Regardless of who has to die along the way!" she screamed and fell knees first to the floor sobbing.
Michael's story as he told a very Agitated Avion when he found the boy back at the manor was that he ran out to see what was going on somehow got caught up in a crowd and decided to run home "Oh and my clothes got dirty so I had to change when I got here!"
"Very well Mr. Bailon, your well-being is what matters," he said and left
"Can't believe he actually bought that crap." Michael walked down the hill the manor looming on the hill blotting out the evening sun "Well that doesn't matter anyway, ugh!" a shot of pain struck in his head "I need to get this sorted out deep in the woods where no one is likely to hear my screams." he steadied his left hand that had started to tremor
"Michael" a voice came from behind him "did you grow taller?" Rainer asked smiling "I didn't even notice you were there until you spoke" Michael buried the shock he felt beneath the increasing pain
"What does that man have to do with you?"
"Who?" Rainer spoke with a blank expression Michael almost second-guessed himself "Anyway I saw you at my house today did you want to speak to me?"
"Answer my question!"
Rainer ignored the order "Well if you want to talk the woods is the best place as any, you were heading there yourself, weren't you?"
