Chapter 29 - Hinata and Eva: A quick Back story

Michael was known as the god of healing in the village of Chang, he established himself as a great healer among the villagers due to his miraculous acts of healing people who were thought to be goners. Many people loved him and were entranced with his abilities they brought in their sick and wounded Michael as he was known back then Asahi helped them,

He lived in a large house as that were called Minka in Japan, in the middle of a forest beside Chiang village, overtime the people of the village began calling him the god of healing. Not because of his healing abilities only however due to his incredible strength of which the people marveled at, he didn't just heal people Asahi dealt with thieves, wild animals whatever the villagers couldn't handle themselves, however his fame was mostly constricted to Chiang and to the other areas surrounding it because the village was located in the furthest part of Japan where most influential people overlooked, they had no natural resource or skilled people like blacksmiths thus merchants rarely passed by.

Sometimes people came from distant places looking for his help to cure their various ailments some had wounds others diseases, disabilities and other all sorts of problems Michael or as he was then known Asahi which means sunlight in their native language welcomed these people sharing his gift hoping that in some way it would lead to humanity's salvation by uniting them.

Asahi (Michael) met Eva's mom Hinata who was among the people who came in need of help, she was a 5'9 tall woman shoulder length black hair over an oval face; brown kind eyes with tight thin lips. She wore a long dark twilight gray gown that loosened at the waist it had long sleeves and a white apron worn over it which made her already enormous belly more visible. Her face was drenched in sweat several parts of her gown wet as well especially on her feet, she looked like she'd been running and could barely take a step forward mostly because her last words before losing consciousness were "Help me" luckily Michael caught her before she hit the ground, being he who he was coupled with his super-strength and carried her to one of the rooms.

Later on when Hinata woke up she'd tell him her story;

She was the daughter of a local noble in one of the provinces somewhere up north. Her life was a peaceful one without any trouble living at her parents' above average home anything she needed was there along with so much more. Her parents were loving, nurturing and were always there for her even letting her achieve some substantial level of education which was more than what most women were allowed those days.

Everything went great up until she turned 16 years old then everything turned upside down for her. But not at first though when several other people started coming over to their home, people she'd never met begun having private meetings with her parents when she asked what they were about her dad just gave her a grunt while her mother remained quiet.

The weirdness of it all bothered her but she shrugged it off and decided to keep busy attending to her chores, the private meetings kept on going for some time until eventually one morning her mother decided it was time for Hinata to meet her in laws.

She was flabbergasted her parents had never raised the topic of marriage so she too ignored it as she didn't want it anyway. Apparently her betrothed's family was the one her parents were meeting with those nights preparing for her wedding with their son whose name was Asuma. And it was that day Asuma with his family were coming to meet her.

Hinata tried to hide her shocked expression but couldn't her mother noticed but just shrugged it off thinking she was just nervous to meet her in-laws. She led Hinata to her room and told her to get ready. Eventually she snapped out of it and started finding her dress telling herself it was going to be fine. Asuma was a 30 year old man with a fit body a medium height stature of 5'10; he had a burly figure, well tanned skin, hard jaw-line small eyes aquiline nose and small puff cheeks. His dark brown eyes were emotionless like a business man he was, a man who'd come to complete a contract which honestly it was. Hinata went along with the marriage at the behest of her parents she didn't want to disappoint them after all they'd given her 'this is for them!' she told herself a midst tears when she was alone.

Soon they got married and Hinata had to move to her husband's home who lived in the province of Ashun with his extended family, Asuma came from a family of wealthy merchants; his house was way nicer than her own despite her family being nobles. It was a wide three storey building surrounded by wide large grounds with a brightly colored white wall with a gate, its interior vastness and decor outclassed her home three times over with luxurious furniture and other expensive stuff.

Despite all this Hinata would have given almost anything to be back in her own house with her parents, because for the first time in her life she felt alone in a strange place with strange people she barely knew. She put on a brave face but the reality of it all was that it terrified the hell out of her.

She tried to live in peace with her new in-laws who either tortured her or straight out ignored her, Asuma was rarely home he liked spending his time in his work he barely knew his wife and gave little to no attention to Hinata.

When Hinata tried talking to him he flat out denied his family's harsh nature blaming her saying she should stop whinnying they are the ones feeding her and she was probably the one in the wrong, sometimes he would say this more aggressively. Asuma's brothers would occasionally grope her 'accidentally' pulling her boobs they lusted her due to her beauty that surpassed most of the women in their large home including their wives, this was met by envy and insults from the said women.

When Hinata met Arin one of his husband's house staff she hadn't intended to fall in love with him but it as always with matters of the heart happened she did.

He supervised security issues relating with the household, he was a tall lean muscular dark haired man in his twenties, well tanned skin and had the most beautiful eyes she'd ever seen, Asuma didn't notice anything different, what with his little attention to his wife the affair remained a secret between them no one else suspected of what was going on. Hinata got pregnant not too long after, for her it meant finally obtaining respect from her new family, though she worried as to who was the child's father Asuma never showed any signs that he was onto them so it sufficed that there was no problem plus children brings any family together don't they?

Hinata truly believed her pregnancy would be a turning point for her in the family so as she went to tell Asuma of "their" impending child she felt ecstatic.

The day she was planning to tell him Asuma sat alone in his home office going through some documents as she opened the door he raised his head slightly surprised, at seeing her he went on reading "Have you come to inquire about your lover?!"

Hinata taken aback remained staring at Asuma shocked, questions overflowing through her mind the most prominent one being "How does he know?" a thought immediately popped up she hadn't seen Arin that entire day which was very unlikely since he usually was in the area checking for any inconsistencies with security due to Asuma's many enemies security needed to be tight all throughout the day and night, Asuma noticing her shocked expression placed the papers he was reading on the desk, he grinned cruelly at her "Seriously Hinata did you not think I'd find out?" he spoke as a matter-of-factually "this is my home I know everything that goes on within these walls, you thought you could deceive me?" he spoke like he was delightedly surprised yet his expression devoid of any emotion exuding a cold menace that sent chills through her entire body.

Hinata realized Asuma thought she'd come to inquire of Arin's whereabouts that she'd been looking for him did he kill him? A cold hand seemed to grasp at her heart cold sweat dripping down her forehead she couldn't move thinking of what might have befell her beloved; her husband was capable of many things some she had witnessed herself over the years: corruption, torture, unbridled fits of rage, merciless hitting of anyone who went against him, and as hard as she may try to tell herself she couldn't put murder past him.

Asuma stood up from his desk his round belly brushing the edge of his desk his lips spread into a menacing smirk, he walked with the grace and posture of a bucket his hands held behind him towards his office door passing by Hinata's side he whispered in her ear "His blood is on your hands my darling wife," then left the office Hinata just stood there Asuma's footsteps echoed behind her, she felt weak.

Her knees gave out first sending her onto the floor kneeling her hands shaking; her breathe ragged taking large puffs of air, tears and sweat streamed down her face. Her hands catapulted to her stomach remembering what she came to tell her husband, suddenly a horrified feeling stronger than she had ever felt swept through her, once Asuma finds out about the illegitimate baby and she was entirely sure it wasn't his what would he do? He only let her live so she could suffer; he wanted her to know that the death of Arin was her fault knowing it would hurt her to no end.

She was trapped in his domain and any conspirator to her actions against his laws would meet the same fate as Arin if not even worse, what would happen once her pregnancy was discovered? An image of Asuma holding a screaming baby in his arms bloody all over, in his hand holding a dagger ready to-

She felt nauseous, one hand on her stomach she stood up her other hand pressing against the wall for support, her skin was milky pale her body felt weak but she had to soldier on "For my baby." She whispered the voice refusing to escape her throat, she walked dizzily across the hall her hand tracing feeling its rough surface, the walls seemed to close in on her, the entire house if once felt empty and lonely now felt like a cavernous prison her own personal hell.
