"The dangerous men?" He tilted his head, amused.

"Yes, the dangerous men."

"To our enemies," I clarified, then, I grabbed her in my arms with no ceremony, "follow us, we came to pick you up. Leave the pussies here, I'll call my people to come deal with them and the parents, later I'll deal with the parents in my way."

"Did you sleep together?" Our son asked with no reservations.

Ruby gasped, "Rhett, where did you learn that from?"

"Mum, I may be 10, but I study with the older kids, they talk. Besides, he did pick your phone when I called, and told me you were bathing!" He groaned and side-eyed me. "She called you a fRiEnD-fRoM-sChOoL, dad," he mocked.

But all I could think of, was that he called me dad.

"Ugh, not you, too," she groaned.

He called me dad.

"Really, mum? I already knew it was him, for a matter of fact!"

My son, called me dad.

"How would I know that?" She growled. "You weren't supposed to."

Dad. He called me dad.

"Mum, auntie Leah posted us, I saw comments," he reasoned.

I can't believe he called me dad.

"I'm going to beat the shite out of her for that," she cursed.

We just met, and he called me dad.

"Oh, no," Lloyd cried. "Mum didn't do it on purpose, auntie. Don't hurt her."

He liked me enough to call me dad.

"Well, I don't know about that! She could have. Leah is mischievous."

Rhett called me dad.

"Even if it was on purpose, auntie Leah was just trying to help, mum!" My son reasoned again. "My dad is here now, is he not?"

Oh, my God, he called me dad again.

"Why are you looking like that?" Ruby asked, staring at me.

I blinked, feeling my cheeks blush, "Looking like what?"

"Like an idiot," she pinched my cheeks.

"He called me dad," I whispered to her and she chuckled.

"Oh, God," she rolled her eyes.

"What is it?" Rhett asked curiously.

"Your dad is overwhelmed that you called him dad, love," she said amusedly.

"Ruby," I groaned under my breath.

"Are you, dad?" He asked grinning like me.

Oh, he totally is my kid, "I just thought I would have to put an effort on it."

"You did," he winked at me and I bit my bottom lip, holding the urge to laugh.

"Yes, yes, now, put me down," Ruby groaned.

"Ruby," I groaned back.

"Put me down, we've talked about this, Rhys!"

Annoyed, I put her down, but wanting to carry someone, I picked my son up and threw him over my right shoulder, making him burst out laughing, then I picked Lloyd up and threw him over my left shoulder, not to let him out of our moment, since he's accompanying us, and by how he beamed, I guess he liked it.

"You're so tall, uncle Rhys!" Lloyd exclaimed. "Oh, my God!"

"Hah!" Rhett giggled, "I'll be tall as hell. Mum, you look so small, Jesus."

"What did you just call me," she glared at him and he gasped.

"Petite," he tried to smooth it up.

"Petite is your,"

"Ruby Vaughan!" An old men exclaimed, stopping us and holding her by her forearm, too invasively, and I absolutely hated it. "You look beautiful today," and he'll look beautiful bleeding to death. How dare he touch her?

The second I noticed her uncomfortable she got, I felt tempted to snap his neck broken right fucking now, "Thanks, secretary Pietro."

"What are you doing here? Is the little troublemaker out of class already?"

Hah, he's so short that he didn't even see the boys on my shoulders. No wonder, he's the same height as Ruby with the boots on, which is short as hell in comparison to me. She took a step closer to me, clenching her jaw, trying to back away from him, trying to keep it classy. It pissed me off, because how dare he?

"Oh, uh, yes, I,"

"Can't you see that our son is right here?" I growled right behind the bastard and he jumped out of his skin, startled, clearly not having noticed me here, probably because he had his disgusting eyes set on my Ruby, and that thought made me want to pop both of his eyeballs.

He turned pale, "Your son? Who are you?"

"Rhyot Crowther, not that it concerns someone like you. But take a look at me and you will get the answer of who I am," I said through clenched teeth.

The bastard swallowed, actually double taking, "And where have you been?"

"Who do you think you are to question my dad?" Rhett snapped annoyed from over my shoulder. "You're bothering my mum. If you don't want my dad to give you a lesson on what happens to those who bother my mum, and make her uncomfortable, you better back the fuck off!" He very much barked in my place.

"Rhett," Ruby groaned exasperated.

"You should educate your son better then, because she's doing an awful job, clearly, this boy is nasty, he barks, he curses, and he fights people. If he keep that behavior up, he won't be suitable to our school anymore," he groaned arrogantly.

"What's your name again?" I asked, eyes narrowed on my new target.

"Pietro Leandro Bianchini," he said it with so much pride, that's laughable.

"Never heard about you or your family," my tone was passive-aggressive. "But say another word about how my wife raises our son, or about my son's behavior, and I'll make you regret ever having dared to say a word to any of us before. I'll make you regret ever meeting us at all, it's a promise. Torment my wife with your repugnant existence again, and that will be the last time you will torment any living being at all," I made sure he got the seriousness of my threat. "Try me."

The men nearly tripped on his own feet when he strode off the hallway, far away from us. He should consider himself jobless and with days counted, because I am not letting a scum like this piece of shit alive after he said what he said about Ruby and my son. To hell I will let that fucking happen without an according punishment, or I'm not Rhyot Cain Warner Crowther.
