I cut my seclusion short with only six days of refining pills. The haul was small for a beginner alchemist like me, but I consider this new journey of mine into alchemy a great success.
I did after all make one perfect pill!
A Qi replenishing pill though… but a perfect one nonetheless!
Perfect pills have no impurity whatsoever!
Crude pills have impurities reaching more than sixty percent. They can block your meridians, inflicting you with cultivation deviation. A serious condition that can set you back, even a major realm!
You won't even give these to your enemies… though I intend to.
Normal pills have impurities reaching about twenty percent, so their effectiveness can reach about eighty percent of a perfect pill.
Then comes the advanced tier, and their effectiveness can reach at most ninety-nine-point nine percent. Making it a very sought after pill that can set you up as a great alchemist with hordes of people looking after you. Both as hired guards and loyal customers.
Come to think of it… I made more than three hundred of these advanced pills… maybe I should become an alchemist as my profession?
That's for later, I guess.
For now, though… I need to see that little cat. She was mad at me last I saw her, and I intend to make it up to her today, at least to quell her anger at me…
As I exited my room, I saw Anna sitting in a chair on the hallway with a book in her hand, reading it with her enchanting black eyes… I felt my groin swell just seeing those captivating lips of hers…
Focus! No horny today! Only wholesome brother-sister moments!
I shook my head, then looked at the confused Anna. I chuckled awkwardly as I walked to her, lifting her chin as I gave her a quick, chaste kiss.
Her tongue flailed out as she wanted to deepen the kiss, my ice doll maid tempting me unconsciously…
I guess it's my fault for making her this way…
She never expected a chaste, pure, and innocent kiss from me…
I'm sorry, Anna. I need to focus and spoil little Nisha for today.
"Good morning, beautiful. How was it with me in seclusion these past days?"
I said to Anna as she looked away, embarrassed.
"I-It was fine. Yuki and Eleanor went about their usual routine, cultivating and training. the same with Christina. That girl never misses a day of training… Nisha and Zinnia kept playing in the back garden, taking Bella with them as the poor dog was bored and lonely." Anna said, shaking her blush as she looked back at me with her ice-cold expression.
I smiled wryly at her. Then took her into my embrace. Her frail hands wrapped around me, her hands barely locking together as she hugged me tightly.
"I asked how it was without me… did you miss me?" I whispered into her ear, making it turn pink with arousal… man… I did a number on this girl, huh?
"Very much so… I can't imagine a world without you anymore…" Anna said as she sniffed my robes. Lucky for her, I did shower to clean myself of all the fumes and smoke that marred my pale skin.
Her words elated me, it made me hard as my shaft stood in attention, and it was getting harder as it kept rubbing on her.
I must end this short lest I succumb to my base desires…
"I will visit you tonight… since you've been dutifully watching over my room these past six days… I need to reward such a diligent, loving wife~." Whispering into her ear, then I straightened my back to see her.
Anna looked away in embarrassment. She didn't think I would sense people outside with my soul sense? She sat out here waiting for me all these days, turning away everyone and telling them how I was in seclusion. Nora even came to visit…
I should see her before I go to that sect.
Leaving Anna to her thoughts as she twirled her hair. I exited the villa to see Christina still on the grind. I nodded at her when she spared me a glance. She nodded back then went back to her training.
I sighed internally… then went on my way deeper into the garden.
The garden was beautiful and vast. Serene with vibrant blooms, neatly arranged rows of flowers, and winding stone pathways. The air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming roses, and the gentle rustle of leaves adds a calming melody. A variety of plants, from lush green shrubs to delicate daisies, create a harmonious tapestry of colors. Benches scattered throughout invite moments of quiet contemplation, making it a tranquil oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Further in, I saw Nisha and Zinnia running around with Bella. Playing innocently as they threw around a Frisbee. Bella jumping more than twenty feet's in the air to catch it, then throwing it back gently towards Nisha, who sees it as a challenge as she flexes her muscles and throws it more than a hundred feet in the air. I guess the twenty feet's one was Zinnia's try…
Bella caught it as well, panting in delight as her tail swayed rapidly. A mortal wouldn't even be able to see due to the sheer speed.
Bella sniffed the air and caught me sitting on a tree nearby. Her eyes glinted with a mischievous glint. She threw the Frisbee with unbelievable strength. A mortal would have his head chopped off, but I caught easily with one hand.
Nisha and Zinnia saw the spectacle with widened eyes.
Smirking, I flicked the Frisbee and threw it to the sky, let's see if you can reach five hundred meters, Bella.
I felt the air distort as Bella opened a spatial gate between her and the Frisbee, catching it in the air as she jumped slightly.
I was amazed and flabbergasted at how willy nilly Bella seems to use her powers in such a silly manner.
Chuckling lightly, I caught the Frisbee as she threw it. Looking at her with an amused expression. Bella's tail flailed uncontrollably in pure joy, I couldn't help but get down from the tree and pat her huge head.
"You're such a good girl, aren't you?" I said as I rubbed her head and ears, earning me a few licks on my face.
Bella's saliva never seemed to be repulsive to me. It smelled surprisingly good, actually.
I looked to the side to see a pouting Nisha and a mouth-agape Zinnia.
"W-What did Bella just do!? It was awesome!" Zinnia jumped on top of Bella. Caressing her soft fur with a look of pure wonder. Bella didn't seem to mind her as I continued petting her.
"Bella's species is called the Illusive Void Loyal Dog. She's a magical beast with tremendous potential. Able to use Space and Illusion Laws instinctively. At least that's what I read in the library."
'Not to mention that she's extremely rare and hard to find in the wild… that's for another time I guess.'
I turn to look at Nisha, who was still pouting and looking at me with aggrieved eyes…
I walked to her, then patted her head. She instinctively purred by my touch, but she flinched as she caught herself lacking. Looking away in embarrassment.
I just continued patting her head, knowing she enjoyed it.
"Sorry, Nisha. I've been too busy these past weeks. Please forgive me…"
Nisha looked up at me, tears threatened to pour, but she held back and smiled warmly.
"Make it up to me today by playing with us the whole day! Okay!?" Nisha tapped her finger on my abs, her other hand on her waist as she demanded more of my time.
She was so cute I almost lifted her in a hug…
