Rain's heart pounded as his eyes widened in disbelief.
'This black tortoise… is this real?'
Before he could react, the massive beast's triangular head came crashing towards him, a gust of wind blowing from its nostrils. Rain staggered back in panic, his body spinning uncontrollably in the air.
'What the hell?!'
He tumbled to the ground with a thud, pain radiating through his body as he groaned in frustration. When he looked up, he found himself staring directly into the giant creature's enormous nostrils, the stench of fish almost overwhelming.
He coughed, backing away, but the tortoise's neck was already withdrawing. Wind howled in Rain's ears as he crouched under the beast's head, grabbing onto a tuft of hair just to avoid being blown away.
The wind stopped as suddenly as it had started. Slowly, Rain stood, his legs shaking.
