Chapter 69 - 69. A CHALLENGE

Chrissy felt particularly awkward. She knew the others were strong singers and had

ridiculed Aiden to start with. Well, that's all for the solo parts.

Let's try the chorus. When Chrissy was embarrassed, she immediately changed the

subject. As well as the four solo verses, there was a rousing finale for them all at the

end.

That part was the essence of the whole song and the most difficult part. It is always

difficult to balance voices in an ensemble. Someone is always too loud, and there is

always someone who cannot be heard.

Sure enough, in the first chorus, Aiden's unique voice stood out. Aiden, you sound great,

but could you make your voice a bit less prominent? Chrissy asked with a wry smile. She

felt awkward even asking.

How could anyone deliberately not sing well? She had thought Aiden was going to drag

the whole group down, but now she wondered whether the rest of them were holding

Aiden back. Aiden was relaxed and nodded. He had master-level music ability, and this

small matter was not difficult for him.

Therefore, in the second chorus, he deliberately held back, and the four voices blended

more smoothly. They did it a third time, a fourth time, and each time they were more

unified. Who will pin up your long hair? Who will make your wedding dress? After another

complete performance, Aiden clenched his fist excitedly.

I feel like we're going to win the grand prize for this song! His voice rang out loudly from

their corner. A harsh voice responded. Oh, really? What a bragger! Let me see who it is!

A few figures approached their corner with malicious intent.

They were all dressed in street fashion. They must be practicing hip-hop dance. Their

leader, a boy with a proud face and chewing gum in his mouth, was looking at Aiden with

disdain.

You said you could win the grand prize just now? Aiden was honest in nature and blurted

the words out without thinking. When he saw the boy's aggressive appearance, he

immediately blushed, unable to speak. However, Chrissy, feistier than Aiden, stood

directly in front of the boy, crossed her arms, and mocked.

So why can't we win the grand prize? It's pretty clear you won't, Julian! She and Julian Woods were in the same class, and there was generally friction between them. It was

clear Julian was looking for trouble. Ouch, Chrissy! I'm not taking that from you! He

raised his eyebrows in contempt.

When you can hip-hop better than I can, then you can say it! Chrissy's face was stiff.

Although she hated Julian, she had to admit that the guy could dance. It was said that he

had begun to learn hip-hop dance as a small child, and he and several others had

opened a hip-hop studio outside school.

Do you think you can hip-hop dance better than anyone? Asked a clear voice suddenly

from behind Chrissy.

It was, of course, Aiden speaking.

Although he had known the team less than an hour, he had already fallen in love with

the group atmosphere.

If others in the group were being bullied, he was not going to stand by. Julian's face

stiffened, and he glared at Aiden. Who are you? Do you want to talk to me? Aiden smiled

calmly.

I'm just Aiden. Nobody special. But today, my body suddenly itches.

I'd like to see your dancing skills. Julian was stunned at first, and then laughed wildly. Did

you hear that? Is this idiot challenging me? The students around him followed Julian's

example unquestioningly.

He was their leader. Hearing Julian's words, they immediately ridiculed Aiden for his

incompetence. Better take care of yourself.

Everyone wants to challenge us, pretty boy. Chrissy and the others pulled at Aiden's

sleeves to persuade him not to cause trouble. I'm very grateful to you for your help, but

this guy has real talent.

She kept on telling him how good Julian was. Jaden and Chloe, on his other side, turned

pale and looked nervous. Julian noticed and was delighted.

Are you two afraid? If so, you better get out. This is no place for you. But Aiden was as

calm as ever.

He looked at the worried Chrissy and comforted her. Don't worry. I know what I'm doing.

Chrissy retorted, Why are you so stubborn? Singing and dancing are two different things.

You sing well, I admit it. But if you dance with Julian, you're coasting for a fall.

Aiden glanced at Julian indifferently. We don't yet know who's about to fall. You! Chrissy

stamped her foot anxiously.

It'll be you who's disgraced! Aiden responded lightly, but Julian took it seriously. His face dark, he pointed to Aiden and said, You are the most arrogant person I have ever seen!

I'm flattered. I just have confidence in myself and can't help it.

Unlike some people, who are all talk. You're all bark and no bite. Aiden laughed openly at

Julian.

Who are you calling a dog? Julian was furious. If it wasn't for the people around him, he

would have punched Aiden. If the cap fits, wear it! How dare you! Julian was shaking all

over.

But when he thought of Aiden's words, he got still angrier. His whole face turned red, and

he clenched his fist and said to Aiden fiercely, Do you want to compare your d*ck?

Hip-Hop seems pretty simple to me. Perform a set of movements that you think are

difficult. If I can copy them completely, I win.

Smiling, Aiden drew Julian gradually to the challenge. Julian could not know that Aiden's

heart was beating faster with excitement. Okay, this is what you say.

Don't go back on it. Of course not. Aiden's face was suddenly pale.

If I lose, I'll give you an apology, and we'll all leave. But if you lose, you take your gang

out of the music block. Julian naturally agreed to Aiden's conditions.

He was pumped up with excitement. Otis were Hip-Hop champions of the district for the

last three years, and he was Otis' King of Hip-Hop. He had never expected anyone to

dare to challenge him.

He was sure that Aiden would be useless, and couldn't wait to teach him a lesson with

his superb dance skills. A space was cleared for them. Please! Aiden held his hand out to

Julian.

You're beaten! Julian grinned grimly, flexed a few muscles, and stepped into the space.

One of his cronies turned on the stereo in a flash. The music started, and Julian

performed a highly difficult sequence of classic breakdance actions, his hands and feet

twisting quickly in the open space.

It looked really very cool. By this time, they had already attracted a large number of

onlookers who, seeing Julian's actions, started cheering and whistling. Several girls were

raucous in their support.

Handsome! Handsome! Julian cool! Chrissy and the others looked desperate. They were

angry at Aiden. Why did he have to be so impulsive? Anyone could predict the outcome,

Julian ridiculing the four of them.

However, Aiden's face was impassive, impossible to read. His eyes were closely

observing Julian's stretching, pace, and jumping. Ding! Watch Hip-Hop.

Dance ability, plus one. Current progress, one out of ten. Current level, entry level.

Ding! Learn Hip-Hop. Dance ability, plus one. Ding! Ding! Ding! In a string of prompts,

Julian's dance was broken down into individual movements in Aiden's mind.

He felt as though he had practiced this set of movements several hundred times already,

and noticed that Julian stumbled on a few movements slightly, his lack of natural ability
