Kai headed on to the mountain, and the moment he entered the woods of the mountain came jumping a ghast. It had blood in its mouth, and the saliva flowed from its mouth. That time Kai remembered something that Katasuke told him on the train. A ghast which has red cat-like eyeballs is the one that lost its brain to the virus. Whereas the ones with the cross are the ones who have their human brain inside them.
"Divine Sorcery: rampage of the divine ocean", said Kai. His whole body was cloaked with Shen, muscles spouted out, and his eyes became more sharp. The next moment he disappeared and appeared before the ghast and by cloakinghis arm with Shen punches in the face of the ghast. The ghast fell to the ground, shattering it. It tried to come back on its feet Kai punched it its black heart and crushed it. The ghast got burned to ashes. Kai continued to ascend to the pinnacle.
While running he heard the sound of his foot stamping on the ashes of something. It was of the ghasts and none other than Katasuke no one could have done that. The way it was burned intrigued Kai. He used water, and Katasuke was a fire user. Kai needed a sorcery technique that would allow him to quickly kill the low-grade ghasts without using his full strength. He noticed that the ashes were really small, it was due to the effect of the heat of the flames. However, water didn't have any of the qualities of flame. He thought about what would be the outcome if he was able to replicate the sorcery technique of the flame users. He didn't get to see Katasuke fighting in person, but with those ashes, he could estimate his fighting level. It didn't take much longer for him to figure out that sorcery techniques depend on the nature of your life force. A life force will have a dominant nature, the fundamental nature which can't be eliminated but there was still room to change the temporary nature of the life force and if he was able to achieve that feat then he could climb those mountains fast.
"Boy are you the only one here...", someone called Kai from behind.
