Rin barely managed to twist her body mid-air, raising one of her twin blades in a desperate attempt to block the incoming strike.
But it wasn't enough.
Cruzer's greatsword crashed down like a meteor, sheer force meeting her smaller weapon. A violent shockwave exploded from the impact, the very air around them warping as void energy surged outward.
Rin's feet slammed into the ground, her knees buckling as she gritted her teeth against the pressure. Her blade groaned under the strain, hair whipping wildly as she struggled to hold her stance.
Then—her sword shattered.
A sickening crack echoed across the battlefield as the void-forged steel of Cruzer's greatsword carved straight through her left weapon, splintering it into jagged shards. The impact sent her skidding backward, boots carving deep trenches into the dirt.
The crowd gasped.
Jean let out a low whistle. "Well, damn."
