Her instincts screamed—she twisted her blades just in time to intercept a devastating downward slash from above. The sheer impact rattled her bones, forcing her to her knees as the ground beneath her cracked.
But Cruzer wasn't done.
He followed up immediately, swinging his greatsword with a force that sent void-infused shockwaves rippling through the air. Rin barely evaded, rolling to the side, but the shockwave caught her mid-dodge, sending her skidding across the battlefield.
The crowd roared, sensing the fight's shift.
Jean smirked. "Now he's getting serious."
Elara, however, remained tense. "Rin's not out yet. She wouldn't have made it this far if she couldn't adapt."
And indeed, Rin wasn't finished.
