Cruzer stirred first, blinking away the haze of sleep to find Jean still curled up on his left, her chest rising and falling in peaceful rhythm.
Elara had shifted slightly during the night, her head now resting on her arm, her back turned toward him but close enough that their shoulders brushed.
Gently, he shifted, careful not to wake them, though Jean stirred at the movement. Her eyes fluttered open, and she gave him a sleepy smile. "Morning already?"
"Afraid so," Cruzer replied softly. "You heading back to the guild today?"
