The cold water enveloped me, emerging my senses in it.
I felt the weight of the rock pulling me down as it descended down to the bottom.
It was strong tug against my waist which made me feel fortunate that I had a strong waist or it would have hurt.
As I descended deeper into the water the sunlight above dimmed, replaced by a soft, ethereal glow.
A completely new world has been unravelled before my eyes.
Schools of tiny fish, iridescent and nimble, darted through the water like falling stars.
Their scales shimmered with hues of gold and silver, casting dancing shadows on the muddy bottom of the pond.
A family of frogs, their bulging eyes wide with shock, watched me with a mix of fear and uncertainty in their eyes.
This scene made me remember the famous Japanese proverb.
'The frog in the well knows nothing of the sea'
