I could also see that Adrian was confused about what was happening.
He had inserted between these 2 so they don't fight.
Maybe the revelations by Jack made him not sure how to react.

Suddenly the door opened and the woman came outside.
She had dressed herself in red clothes, it looks she had even put some makeup on her face.
"No-nothing. We were just waiting for you!"
Jack interrupted before Leila said anything.
"Hmm. Girl why is your face so pale."
The woman came in front of Leila and asked her with care in her voice.
Leila's face was pale and it looked like she had many things she wanted to say but stopped herself.
"I just feel a little sick."
As soon as she said this the woman put her hand on her forehead.
