Inside an opulent tavern, Marthel has reserved a private room for him and Vivianne to talk about the whole mission regarding the retrieval of Alice's research and Celaeno's discovery. After being served their set of foods and drinks, Marthel asks-
"Vivianne, first of all, I'm glad you are safe after all that. Celaeno, Heimer, and even Ajax have fallen in the hands of the enemy…I honestly thought you were–"
Vivianne gently shakes her head.
"I didn't even fight. My plan was to get information from my uncle who is an officer of the GEO. But then I was fooled, a member of {Fate Threader}'s…circle, made me reveal my guise."
Marthel's lips pursed after hearing her side. He then takes a cup of hot tea and takes a sip, also gesturing towards Vivianne to try some, which she did.
Marthel then responds.
"You're lucky you have escaped the grasp of [Grim Fate]. And moreover…the Grand Master's spell."
Vivianne nods.
