Compared to him, Mel slowly regained her vigor, though it did nothing about her burnt scars. Still, she was looking a lot better than him and Connie wanted that.
It was a good thing that she was out cold or else this situation would have taken a turn for the worst, it was awkward enough as it was.
Preferably, he would have waited for her to wake up and asked for her consent, but that didn't seem like a possibility, time just wasn't on his side.
So, he had to do what he could at the moment, no matter how guilty or uncomfortable it made him feel.
