Conrad walked through the quiet halls of the Sardes Hotel's sixth floor.
Compared to the bustling lobby below, the air here felt calm, as if nothing had happened hours ago. He hadn't returned down to see how the staff was handling the aftermath of the invasion, but he could only guess.
They were most likely keeping up appearances until the Special Grade Enchanted Beyond the Veil Mnemosyne could be deployed. They were either going to erase the memories of the civilians who witnessed the attack within the hotel or alter the events of what happened in the hotel's general area.
The thought of that sent shivers down his spine, but he pushed it aside. Right now, his focus was on something else or rather, someone else.
The second wing of the sixth floor was quieter than the rest. The perfume he smelled in the air made it apparent that this was where most of the female assassins resided.
