Chaos erupted almost instantly.
Gasps and screams resounded from the other guests in the lobby. A woman clutching a suitcase stumbled back at the sight of blood spreading in a pool behind the desk. A man in a business suit shouted something incoherent as he scrambled toward the exit, only to be stopped by a bellhop, no, an assassin brandishing a gun.
Kimra turned to Silas, her lips were pressed into a thin line. She must have been angry at him.
"Really Silas? Why did you do that? We could have kept up our act and if that didn't work, we could have just fallen back and came up with—"
"She figured us out through our Aura fluctuations, further deception wouldn't have worked. I highly doubt they would have allowed us to leave peacefully. Majors don't operate that way. Our fate was sealed the moment we stepped in here"
Silas cut her off while sliding the gun back into his jacket.
"Also, my body moved on its own. That's sorta crap"
