Chapter 83 - Chapter 83: The Kirin Beast that Rules the Wind

Two days later, the submarine carrying the "Sharp Blade" team finally entered the windless sea area.

"Is this the Windless Area? As the name suggests, there's no movement in the air currents."

Rorschach curiously surveyed the surroundings.

What he saw resembled the ocean they had passed through earlier, where no end to the water could be seen. The submarine was surrounded by water on all sides.

The water was deep and dark, and they had no idea how deep it was. The forty-meter-long submarine seemed incredibly small in this vast ocean, like a grain of sand in a boundless sea.

"I heard that the Windless Area is full of giant sea creatures, so why don't I see any now?"

Lao had never visited this area before and was very curious about this mysterious and legendary sea region.

"Ah, it's here. It's something big."

Kuzan raised his hand to shield his eyes from the intense midday sun, as if dazzled by the brightness.

"Where? Where is it?"

The trio of Beppo rushed to the edge of the submarine, eagerly watching the sea.

Rorschach activated his newly acquired "Observation Haki," trying to detect anything around the submarine.

But there was nothing.

Rorschach was momentarily surprised, unable to sense any nearby sea creatures.

His body began to swell slightly, and his entire body was covered in shiny blue scales.

"Blue Kirin Form!"

Rorschach transformed into a half-beast, half-human form over five meters tall, releasing electric currents in all directions through the air he controlled.

These tiny currents pierced the air, producing a faint crackling sound like lightning.

Hearing this sound, Lao and Drake quickly jumped back, as if they had stepped on their own tails.

As the range of the electric currents expanded, the scene before Rorschach became clearer.

"I see it! Ah... it's huge!"

Before he could finish speaking, a massive wave surged about three kilometers away from the submarine.

The water in that area rose significantly, causing violent turbulence over several kilometers of the ocean.

The water roared as if a fierce storm was brewing, but there was no wind blowing.

In the next moment, to the astonishment of Rorschach and the others, a colossal white creature resembling a spindle emerged from the depths of the sea, opening its abyss-like maw and letting out a thunderous roar as it leaped high out of the water!

"A whale... It's a whale!" Rorschach's eyes widened in shock.

"Are you kidding? How can there be a whale this size? Is it a mountain or what?"

Lao was also stunned, his mouth agape.

As for Beppo and the others, they were terrified and huddled together.

"It's huge! We have to escape, we'll be eaten!"

"Ah, it really is enormous. This is a type of Sea King. This whale must be over 800 meters long. Compared to it, we humans are tiny."

Kuzan said in awe.

Rorschach's eyes were fully focused on the scene before him.

A colossal white whale over 800 meters long!

Seeing such a giant beast, comparable in size to a real mountain, was incomparable to anything depicted in manga.

The sense of awe was indescribable.

This natural world is full of secrets, making it possible for such giant sea creatures to exist.

And this massive whale isn't even the largest sea creature around.

In the manga, other sea creatures appeared in Fish-Man Island, some over 5,000 meters long.

But even those creatures aren't the limit in this world.

Because in the seas surrounding the giant land of "Wano" in the New World, there is the giant "Zunisha," who has lived for over a thousand years and whose visible height above the sea surface reaches 20,000 meters.

Its total height exceeds 30,000 meters, allowing it to reach plants on sky islands and algae in the deep sea.

"Woo~!"

The massive white whale arced beautifully in the air and made a tremendous splash as it struck the water again.

Drake and Concorde ran terrified toward the submarine's cabin.

"Get inside the cabin quickly! The waves will capsize the submarine!"

Hearing their frantic shouts, Rorschach and the others had no choice but to quickly retreat into the cabin as well.

A few minutes after they entered the submarine, the metal vessel began to spin violently like a washing machine.

Rorschach and his companions were tossed around inside, banging against the iron walls, causing muffled thuds.

Beppo's cries of pain could be heard occasionally.

Kuzan, however, remained entirely calm.

He covered his body in a layer of ice, sticking himself tightly to the submarine walls.

The submarine continued spinning in the turbulent waters for several tens of seconds before it finally calmed down and began to slowly ascend to the surface.

Drake and Concorde rushed to different parts of the submarine to check its condition.

Rorschach was genuinely worried that something might happen to the submarine in the deep sea.

Although they might not die even if something did happen, an accident in the Windless Area would be catastrophic.

Ordinary ships wouldn't be able to enter this area easily.

Moreover, the Northern Navy branch rarely possesses ships equipped with Sea-Prism Stone.

So, if something were to happen to the submarine, they would have to wait in the Windless Area until reinforcements arrived from headquarters or the New World branch.

Fortunately, after multiple checks by Drake and Concorde, it was confirmed that the submarine had not sustained any significant internal damage and could continue the journey.

However, some large bolts had fallen off the outer submarine door.

This was not a small matter, and the submarine had to be stopped for repairs.

The submarine door is a highly sensitive part, and if something went wrong and water got in, it would be disastrous.

But when Rorschach opened the door, everyone's eyes widened in shock at the sight on the sea surface.

"Ah, it seems all the sea creatures have come out to sunbathe, what a magnificent sight."

Kuzan yawned as he emerged from the cabin.

Beppo fainted from the shock.

Rorschach joined Kuzan on the submarine's surface, staring in awe at the towering giant sea beasts that stood like mountains on the ocean.

There was the massive white whale, a black and white striped snake the size of a mountain, a giant red sea kingfish with large black spots, even a colossal octopus, and sea creatures with lion-like heads.

The shapes were strange and diverse, with no end in sight.

The small submarine seemed to have arrived at the foot of a mountain range, surrounded by countless giant sea monsters.

"It's a sight to behold, unforgettable for life."

Rorschach's body began to transform automatically.

Blue scales spread rapidly over his body, and his head swelled into the shape of a giant dragon.

His hands and feet transformed into massive claws like pillars, and his body began to stretch and expand until it covered the entire twenty-meter-long submarine.

As a long tail emerged, it pushed Drake, Luo, and their companions back into the submarine corridor.

Suddenly, strong winds began to blow in the Windless Area, which had been calm for years.

The winds grew stronger and faster.

With each breath, powerful air currents propelled the ever-expanding blue creature toward the sky.

"Oh, it's the Kirin!"

Kuzan's eyes showed amazement.

"Roar!"

The blue Kirin, over fifty meters long and more than ten meters tall, with its skin covered in blue scales reflecting the shimmering sunlight, began to move on its four legs in the sky.

Finally, Rorschach fully transformed into a Kirin, taking on a purely animal form.

After turning into a Kirin, he no longer needed to control the surrounding air currents; he could move freely in the sky.

The dragon whiskers and Kirin mane fluttered around him, and the giant blue Kirin moved among the giant sea creatures that blocked out the sun as if inspecting his kingdom as the King of Beasts.

Although the size of the blue Kirin couldn't compare to the mountain-sized giant sea creatures, his arrogant demeanor seemed as though he was born to surpass all other beings!

"Roar!"

The Kirin let out a long roar toward the sky, and the winds and thunder suddenly shook the skies of the Windless Area.

All the massive sea creatures, the size of mountains, turned to look at the divine beast running in the sky simultaneously.

As if they were expressing their submission to the King of Beasts.
