THREE: GOBLIN CHIEF

We stood frozen as we saw the massive shadow in the doorway. It was growing bigger every second and then the owner of the shadow finally entered the Café.
It was enormous, it was at least eight feet high. Wearing a patched up shirt, and a pair of denim jeans which it stretched to its knees. It looked down and registered all five of us with its glowing red eyes. It was a tone darker than the other goblins and had a head full of jet black hair. It let out a low growl and then spoke again, "WHO DARED TO BURN AND POISON MY TRIBE?"
Then it lunged forward at the duo of the poison girl and her friend. I couldn't just sit by and do nothing while it attacked someone. I turned on my Skill and dashed across the room and picked up a Hooked Goblin Dagger. It had pointed extensions that were easy to go in, but a lot more painful to pull out.
Then I Sprinted to the Chief and jumped as high as I could. I felt myself stepping on air. What the fuck? Oh! It was the poison girl's friend who saw what I was up to and decided to help me. I still didn't understand about his powers but now was not the time to worry. I leaped again and landed on the back of the monster.
I grabbed my dagger with both hands and pulled it back. I brought it down as hard as I could on his back.
KRAKK!!
My dagger had penetrated right into his backbone. For any human he would have been paralyzed instantly or even dead. But goblins seemed to be built differently. The Chief just roared in anger and started twisting and turning and tried to grab me. I would have been goblin dinner if it wasn't for Muscle Dude. He sprang into action along with Lee.
Muscles jumped as high as he could, he could get upto the waist of the Chief. He then started climbing up the goblin's back and was soon with me. He leaped from the back to the groping hand. He hung onto the middle finger of the goblin and grabbed it tight. I thought he was hugging it at first before the entire finger went SPLAT!
He had managed to squeeze the finger so hard that it burst! Right then Lee came charging in with his spear and drove it in the bleeding hand. More blood splurted out as the Chief roared in pain. Taking this opportunity, Poison Girl used some of her Skill and whoosh!
The bleeding hand started decaying slowly. The blood stopped flowing, but the entire hand looked dead. It shrivelled up. But the huge dude could still use it, although not as good as before.
The Machete guy took his blade and swung as hard as he could at the juncture where the withered hand met the fresh arm. With a huge SWISH he chopped off the hand. Lee grasped in his pockets and took out a lighter.
"PRETTY BAD TIMING FOR A SMOKE DUDE!" I yelled at him. He didn't seem to hear me over the noise as he chucked the lighter at Muscles. He then shouted to him, "GO AND MAKE A HOLE AS DEEP AS YOU CAN IN ITS ARM!"
The big guy seemed annoyed at being bossed around. But even he had seen the Firestorm which Lee brought with him a while ago. He started punching as hard as he could in the same spot. The rest of us kept the Goblin Chief busy by attacking him repeatedly. I kept stabbing at different parts of his backbone, while Poison Girl kept, well poisoning the wounds.
Within two minutes Muscles yelled back in a hoarse voice, "I THREW IN THE LIGHTER, NOW DO YOUR MAGIC!"
"EVERYONE GET BACK FROM HIM, I'MMA LIGHT HIM UP LIKE THE FOURTH OF JULY!!"
With a maniacal grin on his face, Lee leapt off the giant body, as the rest of us did the same. Then Lee flicked his hand and ROAR!
The right arm of the Chief was up in flames! The monster started jumping around and tried to extinguish his arm. I used my Skill to dash around and damage his ankles as much as I could. It would greatly limit his movements. He started jumping and kicking blindly as I sliced his tendons.
Machete guy helped me at slashing the Goblin Chief. Poison Girl toxified the wounds and Muscles ripped them apart. Lee was standing at a distance egging on the fire so that the Chief could no longer focus on us.
Just when our victory seemed close, the chief gave out a deafening roar and to all of our surprise a new message popped up:
[GOBLIN CHIEF HAS USED THE CRY OF RECOVERY]
Although the burns and severed limbs didn't grow back, but the tendons we sliced for so long started to heal and close up. The monster turned towards us and his half burnt face with a blinded eye looked at us. It was even scarier than how he looked originally. He now had a half burnt face, his right eye was gone and his left looked down at us with murderous intent.
He was still on fire and Lee seemed to be at his limit. Muscles charged in again and started tearing off as much flesh as he could and leaped from one part of the monster's body to another. Poison Girl stood and shot her toxic stuff at the new wounds opened by muscles. But everyone was at their limits.
Lee was almost about to pass out. His flames had reduced a lot and he seemed to be using his Skill to protect Muscles and Poison girl. Muscles was gasping for breath with each leap, and Poison Girl was bleeding from nose badly.
Machete was the only person other than me, who looked like he could still fight. He ran over to me and said, "Hey listen up, I have a plan. But the others might not like it, especially Jenny. The only way we can kill this lump for sure is to kill from inside. You go and hold him back and slash his legs again, and I'll charge and jump in him. I know it sounds crazy but this is the only thing that might just work."
He said all this very fast and seemed scared to death. He probably wouldn't be able to hold this courage for long. I was about to say no to his plan and suggest some other way. We could keep wearing him down and burn him out. I knew everyone was almost at their limits but we could still do it, right?

Failure To Show Loyalty Will Result In A Strike
What in the actual fuck? I couldn't believe my eyes. Lee was actually forcing me to agree with the suicide plan. And above all he was threatening me with a strike. Hating myself for my decision I agreed to Machete guy.
He took a few steps back and looked at me. He must have seen the uncertainty in my eyes. He smiled at me encouragingly and took off. It took me by shock, but I had no time to stand still. I Sprinted to the monster and started hacking at his tendons. Machete started leaping up his body.
Muscles and Poison Girl were wearing the goblin as much as they could. Seeing Machete jump up, the girl screamed, "Vades, NOOO!" But Machete, or Vades, ignored her as he kept leaping and slashing. He finally reached the shoulder and was one leap away from entering the monster.
He looked back at the girl, nodded and then looked at me. Although I could not hear what he said but I could read his lips and it said something like, Take care of Jenny. I had no idea who Jenny was, and then it hit me. Poison Girl must be Jenny. I felt stupid. But just as I was about to reassure him, the Goblin Chief gave another roar.
No skills were activated this time. But the roar acted as a trigger and a lot of things happened in quick succession. Vades took the leap, hooked himself to the chin using his skill and swung. Just like that he disappeared.
Jenny screamed as tears started streaming down her face. Muscles, who looked dumb as fuck, grabbed her in his arms and leaped off the monster as Vades did his part. There was a split second of silence when the entire room had gone silent. And then, SPLUURT!!
The Goblin Chief was split in two as Vades used his power and sliced him through. He used his power to slice on one side and his machete to slice the other. With blood gushing out like a fountain, it drenched all of us in cold, green blood. It stinked like rotten fish, and some got in my mouth. It tasted even worse.
The huge monster wriggled around making squealing noises. Blood was still streaming out, but with less force now. He lay in two pieces. We all ran to the body to recover Vades. At first we couldn't find anything. Then we saw some broken pieces of goblin blade around the mid regions of the body. And nearby... There was no mistaking it. There lay the charred remains of Vades!
Lee's remaining fires had burned right through him. He was only a charred lump of charcoal with one eyeball still staring at us. It was creepy to look at. We could not salvage any remains from there except the eyeball though. I handed it over to Jenny, and said "I'm sure he would have wanted you to have it..."
Jenny cries rung out through the silent night, as the rest of us sat quietly waiting for the Chief to die completely.
