Chereads / The Great General: Wan Heian / Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4: THE PEAK

Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4: THE PEAK

During the night the moon shined brightly over Suryathand. The city was calm and cold with a thick fog. All of the people are in a slumber. The sky began to turn orange, and coolness deteriorated a bit. The sounds of the people started to flow from the city. The aroma of chai and other eatables enters the nose of bystanders as well as pedestrians. Creating a cue in their mind to try it and their bodies automatically walking towards the shops. Many people drank chai by sitting on the traditional round wooden table. The eatables which are deep fried and with a deep smell provide this extravagant pleasantness to the minds of the early risers. With the rise of the sun, woke Yadav and his group. As usual, Jin was busy with his culinary duties Sen was training with the sword and Yadav accompanied him with the training. The usual argument between Guang and Fui over the lame jokes and Fui's son being enthusiastic over his father's jokes. The moment they knew the food was ready, with all their might they would rush to the table. It was as if their olfactory senses were sharper than the dogs. Fui and Guang were similar to infants when they ate something. Making a mess of their tables and fighting for large pieces and Jin like the mother resolves the conflict between their children. Sen was always the last person to arrive, and like a lunatic, he would keep the sword in the dining. The next moment Jin would punch him in the face. After receiving a punch Sen would always remember the mistake he made. He would take away his sword with an apology and by the time he starts eating everything except the chai on the table would have finished. Ultimately being emotional and complains to Guang. Guang always gives the usual reply," It was because of you idiocracy, you moron." After hearing that he would start to complain about his pathetic life to the children. Crying and they would always sob over his story. At a certain moment, a shadow appeared in the tent ground. The shadow of the hill over which the castle of the king was built and their next goal. As traders, they would have to pay a sum of money to the king to begin the trading business in the capital. Everyone got prepared and got onto the horses. The children were left in the tent except Yadav. These days they understood that Yadav was different than others. Five people started their journey to the main castle. At the peak of the hill stood the supreme castle. Climbing the hill with the horses they finally reached the peak. At the peak, there were only the merchants who desired to start a start-up and people associated with politics. Fui took the money. Fui had a habit of asking everyone's names when he was super anxious. Fui asked," Yadav what is your name." Yadav was puzzled what to reply to that. Sen told him that when he got nervous he would always asks the names of the people he knew by telling their names first. The moment he was going to ask Guang's name. A boy dashed towards him and rushed away in a flash with all the money. Fui was horrified and he turned to others and said laughing," The kids of the capital are really fast right?" When he turned back no one was there. Everyone was chasing after the brat including Yadav. However, an obstacle appeared in their way. The houses, the kid was running over the houses. However, Sen didn't restrain from chasing him. He also continued to run over the houses. He shouted," Yadaaav!!! where are you?" He was running in full throttle. Sen has been always good at running. He finally got close to catching the kid. At that time Yadav shouted," Mr. Sen there is a dead end there." The kid jumped to the side of the house. Beyond the last house was a deep fall. From full throttle, he applied full force on his legs to stop. He slid on the ground and finally stopped on the edge of the last house. Almost near to the fall. The boy ran for quite a distance and thought that they had lost track of him. However, due to that naive thinking, something unexpected appeared. Yadav from the street on the side swung a large wooden pole. He got hit by the pole and fell to the ground. However, the pole was not hard enough to seriously injure him. He tried to run, but Yadav slid onto the ground and caught one of his legs with his arm making him fall again. The boy clenched his fists to hit Yadav, but those light ones were nothing to Yadav. He blocked them without breaking a sweat. The boy had a sword with him, he stood up and unsheathed it. Quickly Yadav, also took his wooden sword. Yadav was at a significant disadvantage compared to the boy, a real blade and an impostor. The boy came running towards Yadav making a downswing with his sword. At that moment Yadav thought what would Mr.Sen do in a situation like this? Sen's picture appeared in his mind and his every sparring with him. The answer came to his mind. Sen would first run toward the adversaries like any others. Yadav ran towards the boy like he imagined Sen doing it. The Sen would tuck down by lowering his legs and reaching the ground. Yadav tucked below by bending his leg to the utmost. Then-Sen would turn his neck upwards and use the upper portion of this sword and by using his bent legs as a spring, jump and use the power within his arms and knock out the enemy's sword into the the air. Yadav turned his neck mustered the power in his legs and used them to jump and transfer all the power to his arm. The next moment the boy's sword was flying in the air. Yadav immediately dropped his sword and made a quick dash bending his upper body. He mustered all the force to his right hand, and because of that his muscle and being started to sprout outside. He clenched his fists and punched the boy on the part where his liver was located. The power was so powerful that the boy fell onto the ground and lay like a corpse. Yadav took the money and turned back. Sen was standing there with a horrified face and asking Yadav," Is that seriously you, Yadav?" Yadav came running and told Sen that there was no time. Sen said that the last stop had completely torn his muscles in the legs. Due to that for one week, he can't walk properly. Yadav went running towards the main castle. There was the entry towards the minister who takes in the money for start-ups. He went into the chamber. The minister asked some questions and one of them was who was the founder of the trading group. Yada replied that it was a man named Jian. The minister's eyes lit up and he asked if Jian was alive with a really pleasant tone. Yadav said that he didn't know much about the founder because he was a new member. The minister said that Jian's wife's house was here and she lived here for quite a while with her son. Unfortunately, she died due to a certain illness. Now, the kid was roaming around the streets and stealing things. When the minister said that he was stealing something sparked inside his head. He thought that the boy he beat up today was Jian's kid. The boy after paying the money regrouped with the others and told the whole story to everyone. They were seriously surprised after hearing that. Guang said that they can't leave their founder's kid alone in the wild. They started searching for the kid. After a long search at the end of the day, Yadav found him. He was doing slave labor in another merchant's store. He was beating the child like a street dog and punching him. The man shouted," You should be a slave because you belong to the lowest caste of merchant!!" Yadav was not able to handle that sentence. The next instant when the merchant turned back, he only saw a wooden sword and it was pitch black for him. Yadav knocked him out with a single swing. The boy was surprised that a boy only a bit older than him taking down a huge man. The boy said with an aggressive tone," Why are you here alone!!" He held the boy's hands and ran from there; he took him to the tent. The others appeared there and asked the boy his father's name. The boy said that his name was Jian or something. Guang declared, from now you are in this merchant group. The boy was feeling ridiculous to see some strange merchant group hiring him. The boy shouted that he needed some time to think and he went out. Yadav went searching for him. The boy was lying on the ground and looking at the evening sky. Yadav also lay down and the boy asked," Now what do you want?" Yadav asked what was his objective in life. He answered that he wanted to become the greatest merchant so that he could make all the merchants equal. Yadav smiled and said that he was truly like him. Yadav said that he wanted to become a Great General in China and make this era the greatest by making people in his homeland coexist together. The boy's eyes opened after hearing that. Yada added that if you want to become someone great then this group is perfect for you. Because if you live among some great people only you can become the greatest in something and all of them are one the greatest people I have ever seen. The boy came back to the tent and said," My name is Jian Qin Rei and from today I am a member of this group. Guang said," Welcome to your father's group!!" Tears started rolling down from the boy's eyes and he smiled while crying and said." Thank you for allowing me to join."
