The next morning, as sky broke, the soft morning sunlight filtered through the window, gently warming Janne's face.
The slight warmth stirred her from her slumber, and she slowly opened her sleepy eyes.
The first thing she saw wasn't the usual emptiness, but Satoru lying beside her.
A light blush crept across Janne's cheeks. Even though she had been aware that this would happen, she still wasn't fully prepared to wake up with him by her side.
Moving with great care, Janne slipped out of bed, doing her best not to disturb Satoru's sleep.
Before leaving the room, she paused at the door, stealing one last glance at him before quietly making her way downstairs to the kitchen.
Once there, she sighed softly to herself, leaning against the counter.
"I must be losing my mind… actually sharing a bed with Satoru," she murmured, her face flushing again as she buried it in her hands, as if that could somehow make the memory fade away.
