(A/N: I did the chapter like this for a reason. DO NOT DROP!!!)
...
Riko had an air of sadness around her today, because this was the day they were heading back to assimilate with Tengen.
All the things she experienced yesterday will only be a memory.
They entered the airport and met two teenagers in Jujutsu Tech uniform, one of them had black hair and a goofy face, he was sleeping on the bench.
"Wake up." Nanami said.
Haibara got up, almost as if he wasn't sleeping in the beginning.
"Geto, you're here already." Haibara said with a goofy smile on his face as he scratched the back of his head embarrassing.
"Of course, its 8 in the morning, we have to get to Jujutsu Tech before 12." Geto replied, a friendly smile on his face.
"So you're Kakashi." Nanami paid no heed to the others and went straight to the subject of point.
"And you're Kento Nanami." Kakashi said with a smile on his face.
"Can I talk to you?" He asked.
"Sure."
"Alone." Nanami said, his tone serious.
"Sure."
"It'll only take some minutes." Nanami told the others as he walked away with Kakashi.
Haibara talked to Geto while it was only Kuroi, Riko and Gojo left.
After a few minutes Nanami came back with Kakashi.
Kakashi wanted to ask Nanami to follow them back to the school but he refrained, there was no telling if Nanami would die against Toji he wasn't even sure if he was safe.
"Attention all passengers on the plane to Tokyo, the plane will soon depart." The voice of the attendant sounded throughout the building.
"I guess we better get going." Kakashi said as he began walking.
"Where are you going?" Gojo asked.
"I'm going to check if there is anyone after the bounty of the plane, you guys can catch up later." Kakashi said as he went.
Silence permeated the air.
"Kuroi." Riko suddenly asked.
"Do you come and visit after I assimilate with Tengen? I mean can you visit me once in a while after today?" Riko asked.
At that moment Kuroi couldn't hold back her tears anymore and let it all out, all of her pent-up stress that she was keeping and cried.
"Of course... Silly question. I'll always visit."
…
Kakashi, Gojo, Geto, Kuroi and Riko were in Jujutsu Tech, after going up very long winding stairs they had finally entered the barriers.
"We are now in the barrier." Geto declared.
"Thank God, am I relieved." Riko said as she panted.
"So am I." Kuroi said with a smile as she handed Riko a napkin.
Gojo looked annoyed.
"Kakashi." Geto said. "You've really, worked hard this time."
Kakashi smiled at Geto to show that he was listening, but his look was fixated on Gojo's back, he was waiting for Toji to make his appearance.
"Gojo." Kakashi said, preparing the hand-sign for shadow clone jutsu.
"Hmm."
"Watch your back."
"What are you talking about, we're in the barrier." Gojo rolled his eyes but he paid attention.
"It's just that..." Kakashi began but he was stopped midway.
The sound of flesh being torn resounded in the air as everyone looked his way.
There was a hole in his chest, a sword embedded in his chest. The attack had missed his vitals but it had hurt him like a bitch.
"Toji Fushiguro, aren't you the one that put the bounty on Riko's head, are you here to retrieve it?" Kakashi asked with a faked smile behind his pained expression.
"Such a smart kid." Toji grinned as he twisted the sword.
*Poof
"I thought you didn't hurt children." A voice came from behind both Toji.
A blue orb connected with Toji, it sent him skidding backwards due to the fact that he was unprepared for it.
"I missed your vitals so I had to make sure I got a bullseye the next time." Toji grinned as he stabilized his footing.
He looked at Gojo's direction, he himself was about to stab Gojo when the kid said some words.
"Watch your back."
Normally that could mean that he should still be on guard but he was looking intently at the snow-white teen's back.
Toji had instinctively thought that Kakashi was able to see him, so he went to attack the true blind-spot.
…
It was winter, snow dropping from the sky bit by bit but the weather wasn't a problem for most people.
Trees were positioned at various places but all of them were barren, not a single one of them had even a leaf on them.
A young man with black hair was there, in the Gojo clan's residence.
It was Toji, he was wearing a kimono under an extra large pale blue...
He was watching a woman and a little boy, the woman had her red umbrella obscuring her face but the boy walked, the cold not bothering him in the slightest.
The boy had snow-white hair, wearing a small light blue kimono with little designs on it.
Then, he turned and looked at the man at his back.
His blue eyes looking Toji eye-to-eye.
Gojo Satoru!
Toji opened his eyes in shock, because not once had someone ever seen him at standing at their back before when he didn't want them to.
He didn't want anyone to see him so he was keeping his presence on the low-profile.
But the kid had spotted him...
And not once ever, either before and after had someone ever noticed him when he didn't want them to...
,,,
"No!" Geto shouted. "How is this possible, we're inside Jujutsu Tech's barrier."
Kakashi felt all his strength leave him, he fell onto the ground like a dead body, the shadow clone dispersed too.
Gojo swiped his hands while Geto summoned a curse, Toji was sent flying and the curse Geto threw at him swallowed him whole before landing on a rock.
"Kakashi!" Geto shouted as he ran towards him.
Kakashi managed to raise his hands despite the fact that his hands felt tired, he felt like he was about to faint and the pain was a bonus.
"Don't, I'm pretty sure I'll live, but if you d-don't worry ab-about yourself you might e-end up lik-like m-me." Kakashi said, coughing a mouthful of blood.
As he said those words his last bit of resistance faded as he fell into a deep slumber...
…
Kakashi opened his eyes as he woke up, but what he saw wasn't the scene he was expecting.
He saw all the veins in his body, their connection to his heart and he noticed that besides blood they were pumping something else.
"My chakra networks." He muttered to himself as he watched the spectacle.
But it wasn't pumping as fast as a human heart was supposed to be pumping and it was slowing down after every second.
'The bastard really did a number on me. And I was one of his fans.' Kakashi thought as he looked at his internals.
He felt this new consciousness fading after every heartbeat, he realized that this time he was dying and if he didn't do anything he would have wasted his new life.
'What to do, what to do, what to do. I really don't have anything that can save me.'
'Or maybe.'
'I don't really have a choice.'
He tried gathering cursed energy from his surrounding, he felt the energy enter his imaginary fingers and like a surgeon he tried applying it to his punctured heart.
'Damn, it's not working.' Kakashi lamented.
'What to do.'
'Am I really going out like this.'
'I haven't even saved Yuji.'
'I haven't even met Yuki.'
'I haven't done anything at all.'
'What am I supposed to do.'
Kakashi suddenly had an idea, it was a crazy one and the chances of success were minimal, but it was his only hope.
He gathered cursed energy from the surrounding, he separated them, putting each of them separately.
'Well, here goes nothing.'
He forcefully joined the two together.
They seemed to repel each other and despite his efforts they wouldn't form it.
'Reverse Cursed Chakra.'
