Done in his bitterness. Caelum looked at the bright side of the situation... Although it's night outside.
Anyway, anyhow, anywhy.
Looking at the things he roll... Yeah, so he took a chocolate and ate to relieve the stress.
Looking firstly at the pills. He can do some drug dealing shenanigans with this. Not.
Being mostly a magic only guy, he has no superhuman 'I can lift your mom' strength. Even then, none in existence can do such feat anyway.
He doesn't have any talent as a physical comabant. And the supernatural having different breeds and races, they have more physical prowess than the normal human. But having strength while being a wacky woohoo magician guy can do a lot of things down the line.
So he'll use it later.
And the next one, voodoo doll. Voodoo doll. Berry Spoopy.
Bunny suit is bunny suit. Weird ahh fetish. Someone would definitely wear it for their pookie wookie cutie patootie booboo bear sugary honey crush extra whip cream with a cherry on top.
And the figurine. I got Hatsune Miku. The bad spin became good spin. That's a complete win. Life good. Happi.
And the stick.
A stick of myriad of colors, ever shifting. A stick that's mostly looks like a twig but with colors. There's also a gold leaf at the end too. You can whack someone with it.
Swinging around the gay stick, he tried to snap it in two. It did nothing. But magic did do something.
Trying to burn the end, opposite of where the leaf's end is, he used a little fire magic.
The hand that's pointing at the twig, bright white fire burst from it and headed to the innocent twig. The twig did nothing wrong.
But contrary to burning, it didn't. Rather, it ate the fire. Fucking ate the fire. It pulled a reverse out of it's ass.
The ball of fire that was supposed to burn it turned into a vortex centering towards the twig. The white flame slowly subsided and turned to nothing.
There's now two leafs on the twig. It absorbed the magic, or rather, the mana on the magic.
M'kay. Cool stick.
And lastly, the grimoire. It's a papyrus scroll. An empty scroll in the shape of an empty papyrus scroll.
There's a misconceptions about grimoires, people think that grimoires are in the form of books. But that's not always true.
Look at the Aztec's calendar stone for example. It's not in the form of a book, but a grimoire carved on a stone. Another is the tablets of testimony, inscribed on two stone tablets by the finger of god.
Anything that can be written can become a grimoire.
Grimoires are mystical objects that has instructions on how to use magic. They usually give the readers knowledge about magic, rituals, and the properties of the grimoire's focused aspect.
But that's just the grimoire in dxd.
Other anime has different difinition of what a Grimoire is.
After rolling open the wooden roll, turning and flipping the empty scroll, he found, predictively, absolutely nothing. What a fucking surprise.
An empty grimoire is literally just an empty scroll. It's not a grimoire anymore, it's just an empt-
A bright light. The Sephirot Graal manifested.
Oh?
Then both the scroll and the cup turned into motes of light.
"..."
And nothing happened after both disappeared.
"No fucking way they just dipped."
After saying that, a bright white light appeared in front of him. If someone outside looked at his home, every window, even the upper floor emanates a white light. Flashbanged.
His poor eyes...
After the light subsided, it revealed the scroll, just the scroll...
The grail that was essential to his plans, gone.
No way...
Taking the papyrus scroll, now turned into a cool looking golden shining holy paper, with shaking hands. It's shining.
This fucking shit! It absorbed the grail!
The hand the has the scroll clenched.
The time I wasted turned to nothing. If I have known this, then I would have used my time for something important! I could have watched cute funny kitten videos on that time!
Hoping that the scroll has at least the properties of the grail, he opened it hastily.
There's still nothing in it.
...Damn...
Blinked. He's now on an asphalt road in the middle of literal nowhere.
There's only the road, in the middle of a dark void.
Walking out the road resulted in falling. The sight of the road above became smaller until it cannot be seen anymore and the feeling of something touched Caelum's feet, back at the asphalt road. Flying up does the same.
Using magic might solve something, but this occurrence might link to the grail being eaten by the scroll. So walking is the only thing he did. Not using the magic until he's bored of walking.
And after walking, now turned to zooming at jet speeds, for God knows how long, he decided that he has other things to do than this.
"Skidaddle skidoodle, I have enough of this purpuseless maneuver."
"Humanity's sins, the persistent prevalence of genocide throughout history. Millions of lives have been lost due to systematic and deliberate attempts to eradicate entire groups of people based on their ethnicity, religion, or nationality."
Before he could use his magic, a voice sounded behind him.
Looking, he found a blonde haired woman with her eyes covered in a blindfold, suited in a white dress that stand out in this black void.
"Why do every living being die? Why must every being kill? Why does everyone kill to live? Why is that?"
"Cry about it. Now, give me the grail."
Caelum is not in a good mood at the moment. He has noticed that this woman is the spirit of the papyrus scroll. He mocked the spirit as he has more important things than philosophising about life and death.
"You're so rude, mister."
The woman walked closer to him.
"Know that I'm not scared of punching the opposite gender. I'm warning you that if you touch me, I will not pull back."
"Be corrupted, mister. That's the only thing that can help the world. Let me go out. Let me correct this dying world. In exchange, I'll give you immortality."
She ignored the warning.
She arrived before him. She raised a hand and touched his cheeks.
"Don't be afraid. Everything will be fi-"
He fulfilled the warning. He did not pull his punches.
.
"Sir Caelum is heroic, right?"
A contradictory praise when taking into account of Caelum's current actions was thrown out of Tosca's mouth.
"You were saved by him too."
Currently, the two girls were inside a bed room. Valerie and Tosca were the only one inside, Siegfried and Vali were left to continue their duel.
The room was fairly large with two bunk beds and other miscellaneous items that has both guys and girls should have.
The two girls were on their respective side of the room. Tosca and Valerie were at the edge of the lower bed, talking to each other.
"Are you fine? You just escaped your previous home, you should take more rest."
Valerie already told her the experience she have, trusting Tosca at her side.
Tosca's worried voice reached Valerie, who only smiled at her in response.
"I'm fine. I was already rested up at mister Caelum's house. Thank you for worrying."
"Okay then, If you say so. I'm sorry about Vali's attitude to you, he always act like that against new people. I hope you could forgive him, he's not that bad if you get to know him."
Tosca lowered her head towards Valerie.
"No no. It's fine, I didn't take offence at his words."
Valerie shook her head and frantically tried to stop her.
"Thanks you, Valerie. I hope you two could talk properly next time."
"It should be me who should say thank you for welcoming me here despite being unwelcomed."
Valerie sadly said. Coming here despite all she can give is nothing, she's happy that she's welcomed, but she can't say that she is by everyone.
Tosca grabbed her face with both her hands, pouting at Valerie's sentence.
"Don't say that! You are always welcomed! You're now part of this family, and no one will say otherwise! If they do, then I will make them say so!"
Valerie was taken aback from Tosca's violent response.
Her her eyes from her squished face turned watery, from Tosca's words by being a family.
Not once has she been given the feeling of being cherished and being loved enough. Being a dhampir made her life hell, mistreatment and abuse, her innocence almost consumed, she only felt loved inside that castle by her friend, the books she read and her now dead mother.
For a girl to experience only the bitter side of the world, it is maddening, as much as the grail's curse of it revealing the truth of existence. To cry and to experience only the cold night inside that basement, she longed for the paradise outside that was told by the stories she read.
Now, saved and given freedom that she longed for, she became confused. What could a girl do that was now given her wish?
Maybe... Maybe she can finally feel the emotions she longed for...
Her head was put at Tosca's shoulder, as Valerie's head was patted by her.
"It's fine to cry."
So she put her sorrow in display.
"..."
The trio of a fallen, test-tubed, and a hybrid of a human and a devil stood at front of the door that cried in coalescence of pain and sorrow.
"...Come now, let's give them some space."
Azazel turned to walk away, leading the way. Another's tears are fallen, a moment in time always seen, such much that he is already grown tired to.
"...Touche."
Vali's tounge clicked. Not from the display of weakness beyond the door, but from the strength of the shadows that haunt him from behind.
He, who has experienced the same tragedy of the girl beyond this weeping door, can only follow the fallen's lead.
The one who took long was the teen who was born from a test-tube.
His eyes gazed to an images of people, the one who he left behind to follow another. His siblings and his students, how are they?
He tried to see them once again, but empty he arrived. The lab that was once he called home did not contain the childrens he searched for.
A sigh escaped out his mouth.
.
W.W.E, juggling, and a beatdown with numerous moveset was recreated here.
"Lady, hear me tonight~. Cause my feeling is just so right~. As we dance, by the moonlight~"
Caelum sing a song that was in his head that just popped out in this dark void of no light, except for him and the woman he's sitting on.
"I should be immaterial! How could you touch me!"
"Can't you see? You're my daylight~, Lady, I just feel like~"
Something spoke inside this abyss, aside from Caelum's singing...
Meh, must be the wind.
