"In the meantime, I need you all to serve some purpose. But considering your current strength, I don't think you or your friends could make much of a difference," Luminoir said with a dismissive wave of her hand, her gaze flickering across the group as if she were assessing broken tools.
"Not even Ardiel?" Minho's voice held a note of disbelief, his eyes wide as he processed Luminoir's assessment.
The very idea that Ardiel, with his growing reputation, would be lumped in as ineffective against the Orcs in Zatorkan seemed unthinkable to him.
Luminoir's eyes narrowed, her lips curling into a smirk.
"Him? He looks weak to me. Weaker than you, even," she said, nodding toward Minho before her gaze slid toward Kiera. "And as for her, well, I'm not even going to bother."
Kiera stiffened but remained silent, her face flushed with indignation.
