The massive boulder sealing Ardiel inside the seclusion chamber began to shift, grinding against the stone floor as it slowly moved out of the way.
Inside, Ardiel sat cross-legged, deep in cultivation. The slight tremor in the ground pulled him from his trance, interrupting his practice of the Thousand Petals Breathing Technique. His eyes flicked open, and he saw a figure in white robes standing at the entrance, the one responsible for opening the chamber.
"Junior Ardiel, Elder Xuanyun has asked for you to come out of the chamber," the boy said, his voice polite yet firm.
"Understood." Ardiel rose to his feet, but immediately felt the discomfort of his clothes clinging to his skin. The impurities expelled from his body during cultivation had soaked into the fabric, leaving it slick and greasy.
He glanced down, slightly disgusted. Who knew the human body could harbor this much impurity?
