Drip drip... plop plop...
The air was moist, and the plant sap was sticky. The ground underfoot was soft and muddy, making it very inconvenient to walk.
She looked around and saw no one. In the emptiness of the dense forest, she could only hear her own breathing, loud and clear in the silent night.
Su Shu didn't know where she was, nor did she know where that "drip-drip, plop-plop" sound beside her was coming from.
Where in the world was she?!
The dripping sound, like water droplets falling, seemed to indicate the right direction if she followed the presence of water.
Su Shu wiped the sweat from her forehead and, following the dripping sound by her ear, maneuvered around one towering tree after another until she finally saw the source of the sound.
A cave hidden deep in the dense forest, surrounded by vines as thick as arms, wound around it. Water droplets fell drip by drip from above the cave entrance, making a "drip-drip" noise.
