By now, the word had spread, and naturally, Wang Yang had no interest in clashing with the people of Buddhism.
"Brother, my master and the others are still in the front hall—we have completed our quest for the True Scriptures and are about to return to the Great Tang with my master!"
After leaving the rear hall of Mount Meru, Sun Wukong spoke to Wang Yang with reverence.
Wang Yang had guessed as much; he had thought that, once they reached Mount Meru, a brawl might be inevitable, which is why he had secretly helped Sun Wukong to increase the Power of Incense and Fire for Xuanzang.
But as it turned out, there was no need for it. However, if Xuanzang were to establish a sect in the future, this Power of Incense and Fire would enable him to rise swiftly and take a share of the merit from Buddhism.
