As Zhunti and Amitabha Buddha stepped into the grand hall,
the two indistinct figures gradually became clear. It was an elder and a middle-aged man.
The elder waved his hand, and two meditation cushions appeared to one side.
"Sit!"
The aged voice that followed, though utterly flat, seemed to carry a misty Daoist rhyme, profound and unpredictable, outstandingly peculiar.
"Amitabha,"
intoned Amitabha Buddha and Zhunti softly after speaking a phrase of Daoist invocation, then they sat cross-legged in front of the two figures.
Then they saw the old Taoist slowly begin to speak, "I wonder why my two junior brothers have come. What important matter brings you here?"
The two Taoists before them, the elder and the middle-aged man, were naturally Daoist Ancestor Taiqing and Yu Qing Yuan Shi Tian Zun.
All four were once listeners of the teachings in the Purple Cloud Palace, thus they addressed each other as brothers.
