Qiu Ruoxi's office wasn't new to Ye Xunhuan; it was his third visit!
The office's decoration style was not luxurious but exuded a simple and elegant charm.
An agarwood desk dominated the room, cluttered with stacks of documents and equipped with an all-in-one PC and a laptop. Behind the executive chair was a bookcase filled with various books, similar to those in Qiu Ruoxi's library at the Xiangshui Villa, boasting a wide variety.
Alongside, various calligraphies and porcelains of famous people were displayed.
However, according to Ye Xunhuan's estimation, none of the calligraphies and porcelains in Qiu Ruoxi's office were as expensive as her desk!
Agarwood has been a very precious wood since ancient times and is the finest material for crafts. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the royal court highly valued using this wood to make various scholar's objects, which were crafted with the same precision as those made from rhinoceros horn.
