Zuo Shimao kept glancing at Lin Qiu, who walked beside her, and seeing the girl looking uneasy ever since she got off the car, she felt very sympathetic.
Lin Qiu was a child both gentle and kind, and particularly sensible. Through the months of interaction, Zuo had grown to love her as she would her own daughter.
Returning to a familiar place, it's inevitable that old, heartbreaking memories resurface.

Lin Qiu snapped out of her jumbled thoughts, "Ah! We're almost there!" She hastily asked with concern, "Auntie! Are you cold?"

Zuo Shimao smiled warmly, waving her hand to reassure her, "No, I'm not cold!"
But just as she finished speaking, she suddenly exclaimed, "Oh my!"
