Meirou set off for Lu Zheng's place.
Seeing Lu Zheng come to pick her up, her previously gloomy mood improved significantly.
During the joyful spring festival, being with family was the only way to feel truly relaxed.
Lu Zheng was fairly welcoming of Meirou's arrival. Since he could not return to spend the festival with her and his father was wholly consumed by his business, even more so during such times, remaining steadfast at his post.
Meirou asked with a gentle smile, "Xiaozheng, has mom's visit caused you any trouble?"
"Not at all! I'll take you to where you'll be staying first!"
Once settled, Meirou and Lu Zheng sat down together for a casual chat.
"Xiaozheng, how has mother noticed you've lost weight? Have you been overworked?" She couldn't possibly stop worrying or missing her son after such a long time.
But seeing her son thinner and darker than before troubled her.
"I haven't lost weight," Lu Zheng asked, "How is grandpa doing?"
