Qin Yucen helped Huo Jingtang up from the floor and sat him down on the edge of the bed to check his head.
He pushed away her hands, which were fumbling over his head, "Stop it. Let me be alone."
"How about you sleep here, and I'll go sleep in the next room?" Qin Yucen sat down.
"I'm going back to sleep," Huo Jingtang also felt exhausted from the commotion. He got up, ready to leave.
Qin Yucen pursed her lips, uncertain whether to ask him to stay or to let him go, feeling quite apologetic and a little sad. In the end, she followed him out the door, all the way to the living room, where he slowly grabbed his coat and methodically straightened his collar.
He glanced sidelong at Qin Yucen standing behind him, "What, can't bear to see me leave?"
"No," she said.
"Then, I'm leaving," Huo Jingtang said as he walked past the couch, heading out.
"I..." she took a step to follow.
"Go back to sleep," Huo Jingtang turned his head, "I won't disturb you here anymore."
