"I'm fine, no need for any check-up," Qin Yucen said as she wrapped her arms around his neck, her gaze lifting to his sexy, prominent Adam's apple.
"A check-up would make me feel better, be good," his voice was so gentle.
Qin Yucen knew she couldn't argue with Huo Jingtang, so she let him hand her over to Jian Ran for a full body examination. There were no major issues, just minor soft tissue injuries. The red marks were still visible on her pale wrists, and her knees were also bruised.
Huo Jingtang felt a discomfort in his heart as he looked at the clear red mark on her wrist, blaming himself for not arriving sooner. Qin Yucen noticed his self-blame and raised her hand to his furrowed brow, her warm, smooth fingertips gently smoothing it out, as if by magic, soothing his furrowed brow.
