"I have a slight cold, it's nothing," Huo Jingtang explained, naturally striking up a conversation with the elderly woman. He neither denied being Guan Haoyang nor revealed his true identity.
"You're busy with work, but you must take care of your health," Grandma Qin worriedly said, her gaze fixed on him and never wavering, "Can you come closer, please?"
Only then did Huo Jingtang step forward, stopping at the foot of the bed. He wasn't sure if Grandma Qin could see clearly in the dark and worried about being recognized if he moved too close. Yet, Grandma Qin seemed dissatisfied with the distance and gently waved him nearer, "A bit closer, a bit closer, let Grandma have a good look at you."
Unable to withstand the old lady's request, Huo Jingtang hesitated for a moment before circling to the side of the bed and standing there, his face obscured in shadows against the faint light from outside, Grandma Qin could hardly make out his features, "Is this close enough?"
